Citizen_Stuart Absolutely. Self defence is a natural right. So is the right to buy and sell property, to engage in sporting events and to start a collection. As long as you're not harming anyone else, you have the right to do what you want, including the right to own a gun.

laglen I believe that this is an inalienable right. All of the stupid laws are ridiculous. If you are going to kill somebody, you can do it with a .22 just as well as an ak-47! Even a kitchen knife or a piano wire. It is crazy.
