missjessy I say "hello" with a cheery voice as this can start a conversation, pleasantly. the other person on the other line calling you might be having a really bad day, and being pleasant and greeting them with a nice "hello" would hopefully affect their tone. i think...

My oldest daughter is going to be 41 years old in April and I'm beginning to think she's not the "sharpest knife in the tray" if you know what I mean. She has a 13 year old son who lives with his abusive dad and my soon to be 15...
