Do you believe in couples having their own bank accounts? How do your finances work? Is there a joint and 2 individual accounts? Do you think there is harm in having individual accounts?

missjts A part of me agrees with you. Having one joint account and being "one flesh" is what was discussed during our premarital counseling. However, we have very different spending habits and this concerns us both. As it stands now, we have 3 accounts but I do...

missjts This doesn't create issues between the two of you? Does one make more than the other? I would worry about one person living check to check and the other not having to worry about when the next check is coming in.
