neutrinomuon Thanx for your comments. I agree with you. It seems that windows is easier to deal with games. However, it's possible to run a lot of games in a Linux platform. Cheers

Well, I need to buy a new computer for my office. I deal with simulations and stockage of data (I have nearly 3T of data). I don't really know the budget that my company have for buying this kind of stuff. What would u recomend?

neutrinomuon Thanks for your comments. I don't want to play games, however I do some sort of scientific simulations and I deal with approximately 1T of data. Therefore, I think this configuration will not be so good for my purposes. Cheers

Well, I try to recycle my garbage, but there are things that I doubtly think they can recycle, like juice and milk packages, because they are made of plastic+aluminium+paper... What do u think?

neutrinomuon I agree with you, however there are around 450 planets detected until now and they have the same size of Jupiter... So, based on observations we don't know the frequency that an earth-like planet is produced. Perhaps, never... Therefore, we can not juge based...

neutrinomuon I agree that windows is a very common OS, however as said in other posts it is a myth that Linux doesn't have the support of many softwares. The problem is that the usual softwares of Windows will not work on Linux, however you can always substitute them....

neutrinomuon This is a myth that Linux has less applications developed for it. What you want to say is that the SAME applications developed for windows could not be available for Linux, but you can substitute. I'm going to give an example, you can use IDL for windows...

neutrinomuon I agree with you... It would be very difficult to communicate, but there's a huge difference between distinct countries and distincts species, because we can learn any other language from other country, however are we gonna be abble to learn some alien...
