What's the difference between a journal and a diary?

I never thought there was a difference. But in a recent post some people referred to both. i just thought you called it a diary when you are younger and a journal when you got older...or am I way off. Is there a difference...

nicklah Toujane is an awesome map but I prefer El Alamein or Leningrad. Both of them are easily the best maps in the game.

nicklah I bought the Wii recently and I love it. The graphics may not be the best but thats not the reason I bought the Wii. The Wii is all about interaction and having fun with the whole family, plus, Zelda:TP is awesome.
