Do you take donations and church offerings off on your taxes?

I don't.I don't feel that it is right for me to take the money I gave to God off on my taxes to get money back on.Also when I donate clothes,household items to an organization I throw away the receipt.I will not right them off on...

nicksmama I am looking for actual scripture about this. Does anyone know what the Word of God says one way or another, if anything, about this?
