is it wrong to put a child on a diet

my son is a little over weight but he is a bigger build too. he has always been a big boy and thats fine but in the past 5 months we have had to buy him all new pants 4 times. now i don't mean like a real diet but just cutting him...

onlytakenaps Its funny cause my nephew is that same age and eats like an animal i believe its totally normal ...but i dont think any kid that needs to be put on a diet thats not the answer....The question is what does he do after school on the weekends .What does you do...
