hi dear mylotters, which is more important to you, water or electricity? well back to many years ago most people will say water is more important because technology is not so important and maybe they are still using candles....

owyn098 I think the "needs" the younger generation refer to are those that will keep them "happy and content". They don't think of survival since, as you said, everything is provided for by the parents.

owyn098 it didn't reset back to the time it was manufactured. the time is yesterday's time. yes I had my suspicions already on the CMOS battery so I will try replacing it.

I have a Western Digital My Passport external storage which I bring everywhere to transfer files, most especially videos which I used in my editing. Then one day, I used it to transfer a big bulk of video files from a computer....

owyn098 You may also seek help from professional data recovery centers. They may be able to assist you but be prepared to shell out a lot of cash for their services.

owyn098 I know I can change the clock settings but everyday? It is too much of a hassle.

owyn098 Hi, I don't see a "Checksum error" message while booting but I'm having suspicions on the CMOS battery for a while now. I'm just not sure if it really is the cause of the problem. Won't hurt to try replacing it though. Thanks for suggesting.

owyn098 I checked the time zone and country on my pc and they were correct.
