how do i get my cake to be moister?

i love to bake. everytime i make cake though, it comes out tasting a little bit too dry even when i use a cake mix. Does anyone have any tips for when i make cake to have it come out a little bit moister and not as heavy?

phaedrah Are you making sure to mix it very well? Also, you may want to check the baking instructions for the altitude in your area. Or, try adding 1/2C of applesauce to your batter. Hope this helps!

phaedrah I have always bought a good used car. I am happy to say I have never had a car payment. I have always had a "car fund" built in to my monthly budget. I stick away whatever I can (even if its $25) usually I would contribute what a normal car payment would be....

my poor daughter is sick, she has a really bad dry caugh. she can't sleep it's hurting to caugh. not sure what to do for her. caugh medicines never seem to work. i'm going to have to see if the doctor can see her tomorrow

What is the last movie you watched ??

I just watched Eagle Eye yesterday. I think its a very nice science fiction that keeps you glued to the screen to the very climax of the movie. I am just curious to know what is the last movie you watch....

phaedrah I just saw "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" a few days ago. I thought it was very good. I must confess though, I'd pretty much pay to watch Mr. Pitt cross the street!

Soup ideas

I love soup and make loads of it but I am running out of ideas, I usually make leek & potato, tomato, veg, chicken & veg, tomato & chorizo what others do you like? Thanks

phaedrah Yes! I love soup too. Especially in the winter time. Two of my favorites are Loaded Baked Potato soup and Potato,Sausage,and Kale soup.
