All women in these days are well educated. So most of them prefer to work & support their family financially. Some women does not require to work as they have financial stability still continue to work as they want to be a career women.
most of the Home maker wifes in todays world play dual roles they look after all the household work and also earn in doing some home based part time jobs. Its quite a healthy development with the growing education exposure.

I totally agree with you that all women today, or at least most, are well educated. It is a personal choice whether they decide to work outside of the home, inside of the home, or not at all.
I have a masters degree in early childhood education. I decided to be a stay at home mom when my 1st born was 2 and my 2nd born was a newborn.
I would have loved to be home with my kids without working, but we really needed the income. I decided to open an in home daycare. It worked very well in my situation. My 2 yr old had someone to play with and learned socializing with other kids. Now my youngest is in 1st grade and I still have the day care. It allows me to be here in the am for my kids and to be here in the afternoon to get them off the bus. I love the choice I have made and wouldn't change a thing.

I prefer to be housemaker rather than house wife.house wife is a wife that stays home ...doesn't necessarily mean that she takes care of anything...home maker is someone who takes care of your home..could be anyone ..people earn livings being homemakers
A housewife is someone who sit s around and only does what she has to keep the house. A home maker is a cheerful person who really gets into making a "home",saves money for her family, makes many of the household items like curtains, etc, volunteers to help the needy, cooks real meals, teaches her children to be productive students and adults later, nurtures her family spiritually-physically-emotion... and makes sure everyone is taken care of at home. It is a happy "home."

Which is comfortable for me? I would have to say being a stay at home mom/ work at home mom is what fits my personality best. I have always been a homebody, and get very nervous around lots of people, so I really enjoy being at home.
I have made a little money here and there, but am just not trying to get really serious about earning money at home. There are so many ways to do that, though, that sometimes it gets overwhelming when I try to decide on what to do. I have recently been working with some work at home sites, and created a blog about the ones I use. It's at http://wahmwhimsies.blogspot.com, if anyone would like to visit.
