When I was still working we usually have summer outings usually on beach resorts or just go to places with swimming pools. That's how I learned to swim. But I would only stay on the shallow part of the beach/pool. The part where your feet can touch the sand/floor below and still expose your head above water. Until now, my swimming "style" has not improved. LOL.

I can swim like a fish. I learned to swim when i was about 4 or 5 at a summer recreation program our town had. I taught both my kids to swim as soon as they could walk. We had a pool and we used to live in it all summer long.

You know I never could float till I wound up with cancer, lol. I used to be a rock hard tree topper, had my own business for 15 years, then cancer took all that away, but let me float, because i developed some body fat, lol. I used to be somewhat afraid to swim in deep ocean water and such, unless i had a scuba tank, because the minute I Quite treading water i sank like a rock. N ever forget the day I felt good enough to go to the beach, one of my favorite things to do was dive down and get rocks and unbroken shells. I saw a nice shell and I tried To dive down, I was like a cork my legs stuck straight up out of the water to middle thigh. I thought that was strange so I tried again with the same result. Hey I float Yo everybody Look I float, nobody is impressed nor can they figure out what my excitement is about. but having less than 3% body fat my whole life and now it being maybe 15% I float. I could understand now why most people do not fear deep water. For now i could just lay on top of it what a novel thing, lol.

I love to swim. I've know how since I was three. I joined a swim club at seven and swam competitively for several years. My parents built a pool for us kids in the back yard when we were young and we spent all summer in the pool. We would be there until sun down and lots of times later than that. I still love to swim. Maybe I was a fish in a past life!

i can swim a little with a knowledge of some strokes. i learned to swim when i was about 13 years old. my friends and i used to go swimming in a nearby pool so they taught me how to swim. they let me paddle at first then when they taught i was already capable of swimming alone, they brought me to the deeper part of the pool. what makes it a lot more fun learning is the fact that we play in the pool.

I dont know how to swim but I just know how to float on water. Maybe sooner or later I will be ablt to swim but it would take long for me to learn coz im not really interested to learn swimming by heart. I just need a patient teacher to teach me how to swim.

Yeah, I know how to swim and can swim. I think you need to be able to swim something like 200 meters to be counted as able to swim. I'm not sure if it's just in Finland, where it's counted like this. I recommend swimming for everybody, it's very good form of exercise and you never know when your swimming skills are put in to a test.
