I mean, would you sponsor him to get some legal papers, or search a job for him or some other way to make this person stay?

Not just any illegal immigrant, no. It would have to be someone I knew and trusted. I am sorry but in my job I have seen a lot of problems with illegal immigrants and not all of them are just here trying to make a better life. So that is my answer. Before anyone calls me racist or anything, I am American, my husband is Cuban. He is now an American citizen, but he was born & raised in Cuba and came to this country at 19 years of age on a raft. I do know the hardships people face in other countries. But I also know the strains that are currently on this country. I do not support the stealing of others identities or complete disregard to the legal system. I do know a lot of illegal immigrants as where I live there are very many. I know some of them are good, hard working people just trying to better themselves. But there are those that really don't deserve the opportunity.

Probably not, considering that for every illegal immigrant who comes here, they make it that much harder for legal immigrants to become citizens. Besides, the government is bending over backwards to help them out anyway - why should I waste my time and money to keep an illegal here when the government is becoming so willing to give handouts? But then, there is a small chance that I might be in a mood to be nice that day, and I may point him to the local employment office.

I wouldn't completely cover it, but if it were someone that I knew personally and was friend with, I would probably try to help them out a little if I could.

When you think about someone on the situation, most people dont really look behind those words "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT"..No one really is paying attention as to why someone becomes the subject of so many discussions. Truth be told, there is not a single person on Earth that can actually say that for their loved ones and their wel-being they would not move to hell if they had to... Think about this, you are given two opportunities, you can stay wherever you are - no job, bad life, no food, no money, no house OR you can move someplace else that even tho, is not perfect, you can at least give your kids something to eat during the day. Maybe like this: Leaving your entire family, your homeland, your culture, your true roots.. and going to a different place, different language, where you are going to be serving others just for a little income to support your relatives ??? I, for one, would move to Neverland or the end of the Universe if I had to and thats why I would also help someone that needed it. Does anyone still think that just because you dont have a piece of paper that makes you less of a person ? Take your time, look around you.. No one has told humanity that we are here to judge or to take parameters to rule over a land or the ways we can take to help ourselves and the ones we love

There needs to be a better system where people can come and go freely to work, or for citizenship, instead of paying high prices, and risking their lives to get here.. and businesses should not use (illegal or undocumented) immigrants as very cheap labor, which keeps the whole dangerous and demaning system there is now afloat.. Then people will come legally.. and don't have to worry about their neighbors thinking they might be terrorists..

I wouldn't turn anyone that is in need of help away. If I can help them get their papers so that they won't be illegal anymore, then that would be the first step to freedom.

Yes, if they have proven to me they are of a good character, and have stayed out of trouble since they have arrived, I would try to help them find a way to become a legal Immigrant.. - DNatureofDTrain
