Exclamations !!!!!!!!!!

hmm.... I can't help but wonder if this discussion is inspired by that episode of Seinfeld, where Elaine is annoyed at her boyfriend because he takes a message for her on the telephone, "it's a boy" and doesn't add an exclamation at the end, ha ha. That was a good one. Anyway, yeah, the exclamation point, lots of people use it, sometimes correctly, sometimes excessively. But you're right, it is odd how many emotions it can express, surprise, shock, anger, excitement, and you missed one, even fear sometimes, but I guess that would come under "shock". But don't you think sometimes people use it too often or too much? Anyway, this little bugger can totally change the way you are trying to express yourself, and can confuse sometimes, it could make a normal statement sound like an angry remark if not used properly. Amazing what a little shape like that can do. And of course it has rather a huge significance here in my lot, in the ratings, so whatever you do, how excited you are, don't hit the "!" button for this remark, he he.

Yep, life is that way sometimes and you just got to roll with it, and try to make the best of it somehow.
