how to deal with clothing stains away from home?

if you see a spot on what you are wearing while you are in a restaurant or hotel, rub the stain with white bar soap. then wash and rinse. some liquid handsoaps in restaurants can be used to quick clean a spill. hotel shampoo also can be a good stain remover.

While at the restaurant, soda water normally does the trick for me. I'm sure most restaurants have soda water available.

They don't call it cleaning services for nothing, or I will use my onstar to find a dry cleaner nearby.
