You are in the woods being chased my a hungry man eating grizzly bear. You come upon a cabin and you have heard stories of a deranged axe murder who lives inside. The bear is right upon you and you only have a choice of being eaten by the bear or going inside the house. You have no weapons on you of any kind. Would you take your chances with the bear or would you go inside and take your chances. Or if you can think of something else to do please tell us. This is not a brain teaser . I dreamed this last night but I woke up before I had to choose. So what would you do??

The axe murderer could be out, hunting for food, or cutting wood for fire. even if in the house he could be anywhere and not necessarily in front of the door. So i'll take the chance of entering the house and finding him no where near, i'll make a huge sound of shutting door behind me and will hide. axe murderer will come to inquire and will find a bear to deal with. they will take care of each other and i'll make my way.
2nd scenario could be, even if axe murderer is behind the door. He will feel immediate threat from the bear and will deal with that first, giving me time to escape. I will live :-)

That would be a scary situation but I would have to say that somehow when I got to the house I would leave the door open and hopefully the bear would follow me in there and somehow I can hide and he would see the ax murderer and hoping for him to go after him and me get a way. It would be a long shot but hey got to try to save my life

I think that is a possibility. I would try to deal with one problem at a time.

Gosh I would probably froze! Wondered why you dreamed this? I really think I would just froze and be in shock. I have always heard not to run from the bear so maybe if I froze he would go away and maybe if I am lucky the bear would go to the cabin where the ax murder is and take care of it.

I'm not really sure what I would do. Maybe I would try and go inside the cabin and if the axe murder was inside I would duck behind the door after I opened it and let the bear inside hopefully the bar would see the the poor man and I would slowly sneak outside. LOL I'm not sure what I would do really.

Well, I can tell you what a did in a similar situation in a repetative dream that was bothering me for ages.
In my dream I was up a tree with a pack of wild, blood thirsty wolves snapping at my heals..
Most of the times that I had the dream I just screamed, (even to the point that I actually woke myself up once in the middle of one such muffled scream that had found its way into reality).
I was reading a book on Carl Jung at the time about archetypes and such like and on toying with the idea that the wolves were part of my shadow side that I had been denying, (getting deep here!) I deceided in the next dream to confront the wolves, not aggressively, but positively.
I told the wolves that they were part of me and could'nt hurt me and that I was getting out of the tree right now and that they should know their place in the heirerarchy, which was below me. They all laid down and calmly let me climb out of the tree and have never bothered me since.
So, getting back to your situation, if the dream happens again I would tell the bear that you appreciated him and that one day, if you ever need his help you would be grateful for him being there, but for now you would say goodbye.
Same goes for the mad axe man if he pops up. Infact you could mediate and visualise this scenario as your unconscious maybe wants to sort this out.
Hope this helps and is not just the mad rambellings of a strange woman....

You go in the cabin and avoid the direct threat. Then you deal with any future one.
