Since old days we are saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".
Now the scientists have proved the importance of GARLIC for its effect on the Cholesterol & Cancer tissues.
Eating garlic (raw or cooked) every day helps to reduce cholesterol level & thus helps control the heart attack.
It is also very effective in controlling the growth of cancer tissues.
If you are eating GARLIC continue doing so.
If not, start immediately.
Don't bother yourself even if your mouth stinks.
Say "Eating GARLIC everyday keeps the doctor away"

I eat a raw clove of garlic every single day. I use mouth fresheners when I have to see people.
I think it is a great herb, that helps to lower cholesterol, and also helps to keep mouth ulcers away, which I used to suffer from a lot. I have also found that if I rub some garlic on a wart (if I get one) it will disappear within about a week - it stings like crazy, but it works.
I think there are things about garlic that they haven't even discovered yet. I read somewhere on line, that human beings were the only "animals" that would eat garlic, and that most other animals avoid it. If you plant it in the garden, it scares away the aphids. And you can spray your plant with water with a crushed garlic clove in it it will get rid of or act as a barrier to aphids and various other pests.

I use garlic in almost everything I cook. We love it. My cholesterol level is 111 so it must be working. Thanks for the information.

Hello lightningMD
you said you use garlic in everything you cook. that's Great!! keep doing so.
when you are using it in cooking it means that you are indirectly helping all those who are eating what you cook.
now you can also promote this information for benefit of all others who can't eat what you cook
LOL

I can't say I eat garlic every day as not every dish I make calls for it, but whenever I make a dish that needs garlic I always put more in than the recipe calls for because I really love garlic. I often make dishes with garlic though, so we eat it quite regularly.

My sister always crush cloves of garlic when she feels that her blood pressure is shooting up. She said that she doesn't mind even if her husband jokingly comments how stinky her mouth is! I like the smell of garlic when it is being sauteed, I eat raw garlic soaked in vinegar when used as a dip, I like to top my congee with fried garlic, I enjoy garlic bread. Still I don't know how much garlic I eat everyday. What I know now is I am eating something that is good to my body.

I take garlic pills every day and cook with it as much as I can. I had high blood pressure, I quit smoking, started walking and taking garlic pills. My blood pressure is now under control without the need for a prescription. I am a firm believer in garlic and its benefits to our health.
