brimia I just made avocado dip myself a few minutes ago. I love avocado. My problem is often the opposite...they ripen too fast and I have to hurry and use them. I have also heard of putting them in a paper bag in a dark warm place.

brimia I've heard this also. It definitely helps to drink lots of liquids and eat foods with high water content like salads, soups, fresh fruits and veggies. They fill you up without taking in too many calories.

brimia Yes, it seems I'm sewing buttons back on all the time. I also resew seams and occasionally socks. If it's an article of clothing I like and/or something I know I'll still get a lot of use out of, it's definitely worth mending.

brimia People have been trying to predict the end of the world pretty much since the beginning of time and I don't think anyone really knows. You just have to live your life the best you can and try not to worry about it.
