How often do you make cookies from scratch?
This is something I'll do every few months or so when I get in the mood. Sometimes I'll make them on a weekly basis for a few weeks before the mood has passed.
Well the mood has hit me again, and tonight I made cookies. I used a regular chocolate chip recipe, but used peanut butter chips instead, and added some mini reese's pieces candies too. They're delicious.
When was the last time you made cookies? What kind did you make?

Katsmeow,
You are awesome. I would not know where to even start when making cookies from scratch. I know you said you had a recipe, even with a recpie I would be afraid to try it. I just normally stop by the freezer section of the grocery store and pick up the ultimate turtles. They are delicious.

Hey kats! That does sound kind of yummy! I can't remember when
I made homemade cookies from scratch and I sure don't know why
I don't! I do love to bake and have plenty of time. I just don't
have recipes anymore! I should take a look around and see what I
can come up with. I was looking at some around Christmas, but
just wasn't in the mood the because I had too many other things
to do at the time. Now that I am not as busy I just might take
a look online for some easy to bake recipes before I go grocery
shopping. I prefer homemade cookies to storebought any day. I
usually can't even find any in the store that I want to buy!

I agree, I'm not crazy about many of the store bought cookies, the ones I do like are just far too expensive to get, and they don't offer many cookies. I'm not going to pay $3 for only 8 cookies.
The kind of cookie I make most often is chocolate chip, and you can find that recipe right on the back of a nestle tollhouse chip bag. It's a great cookie if you follow the recipe to a T.
Another good but easy cookie I did a few times... buy a cake mix, a typical box cake mix, and make that into cookies. It's different, that's forsure.

I made cookies a few weeks before christmas and then i made them again a few days before chirstmas so we would have some for santa. i made chocolate chip cookies the first time. i made them again for santa but i also made mint ones. i bought the bag of chopped up andes candes mints at walmart and dumped them in the dough instead of chocolate chips. they turned out really good.

It has been a very long time since I made cookies from scratch. The last ones I made were brownies and I mixed applesauce and peanut butter and chocolate chips with the brownie dough. I also added a little bit of coconut with the whole dough. It tasted great. I got a lot of compliments from it espeically from my husband. But that was at least three months ago.

I make several batches of fresh baked cookies a week, but I don't leave but a few of them at home. The rest go up to the gas station and get sold. I made some chocolate chip cookies on Saturday. The 5 jumbo cookies that I left at the house were gone by the time the kids went to bed.

I haven't made cookies for ages, but I go through phases with my baking and get obsessed with a certain cake for a while before I move onto something different.
At the moment I'm really into making flapjacks and am having fun experimenting with different fruit and nut combinations.
