when you have parties in your home,do you prefer your food to be catered or do you cook it by yourself? altough catering is much practical coz it saves you energy and time..i would still choose to prepare the dishes in my party by my own..there is a sense of satisfaction and achievement especially when you see that the guests loves all the food that you served..

I prefer home-made dishes than catered one.It is good to know that we are the one preparing our dishes and it's a whole lot fun in preparing them especially that the whole family were involved.

I prefer cooking the food myself. Whenever there are parties at home, I really enjoy my mom's cooking. And she can cook several dishes at a time!! I love homemade-cook dishes...^_^ And it gives me and the guests more satisfaction because I know the foods taste great! "Luto ni Ina" is the best..^_^

it depends girl..but most of the time, we use to cook because it's not that expensive and we can cook dishes that we want..we dont have the budget to have caterings.. but everytime my aunt coming home from US, she used to have catered foods coz she dont wanted us to be busy cooking, and she's wanted to have another dish that we dont use to cook in the house..

It depends upon the numbers of invited to attend the party. If more than 25 members then I will go catering otherwise we will cook dishes in house itself.

I did it both I think. So part of them are catering, but the special dishes which the catering can't make we will cook it alone. Catering save our time and we can more prepare to the party.

during parties at home, it depends on the size of party. If its less no of people, then its home cooked food. otherwise its catering food. when there are l;arge no of people although home cooked food wud have been cheap, but it makes to much pressure to make. so we generally order for catering food when there arec many people.

we actually cooked at the house but of course with the help of our relatives that's why we really don't get very tired of preparing the dishes.it's more convinient and its cheaper.i love the idea of a catering service but of course its more expensive and the time is limited.they are only available on a certain period of time.so i prefer a home made dishes.

When we are in our home we would like to cook and eat our own hand made food, and sometimes if we attend any parties or when we are out for luch or dinner in resturant or in hotels we would like to have catered one. But our own hand made food tastes good and it is best

same here im more prepare to cook it by myself or with the help of my mom. actually my mom is a great cook when i get married i live in my husbands house. my husbands family has a canteen coz where near in the school. the business is okay but the problem we all eat in the their canteen everyday they almost cook same dishes from the start its okay but as time goes by my apetite loss there are times i didnt eat for the whole day. because of losing my apetite im working the whole day so i dont have time to cook for myself. one day my mom went to my husbands home she saw me and she why you getting thinner and thinner then i just say i loss my apetite. so my mom decided to visit me everyday to bring me foods... and now my apetite is okay... and im gaining my weight again...

I prefer homemade, and always will, just nicer when someone has taken the time to make something from their heart.

I don't like much cooking other than my own, and i've always seemingly been disappointed with caterers in some way shape or form, so i do it myself all the time. At least i know what goes in it, that way if anyone has allergies (Which it seems everyone in the world does now) their well taken care of, and everyone has their specific tastes covered. I really love cooking for everyone, because everyone just loves the way i cook, just the right amount of spice, and just the right amount of everything else. I'm a great cook, and I'm not saying that out of conceit, just the fact that i've mastered so much about it, that i can make something for everyone, and they will always love it.

My husband and I both enjoy cooking and trying new dishes, so I would have to say that I would do the cooking myself. Usually when we throw parties, most of our friends bring a dish anyway. It is a way to compare each others' expertise in the kitchen! A lot of us enjoy that, ribbing each other about our cooking skills. I have attended parties where the food was catered, and a lot of the dishes I really didn't enjoy anyway. I just enjoy home-cooked meals better, going out once in a while is ok, but we cook at home most often. tdbrower1969
