Good Grief and Thank You MyLot, Yet One More Improvement!

Who me? Complain? Never!
Wow! What a great improvement you have made; and I'm not talking about the blog addition, the page changes, or any of the star ratings or money things. It's even bigger and better than that! You have eliminated our need to memorize or bookmark every discussion we have responded to. What a HUGE thing that is! Thank you so very much.
It is way too wonderful to go to my email, open it, and see that someone has responded to my response! This is the best new feature yet. Can you top this one? I seriously doubt it. You have set the standard and the bar for yourself really high.

yes my lot has really out done themselves this time around all of there upgrades are just awesome, it is so nice to be able to login to the homepage and have everything right there to get to.I am constantly switching things around to even make it more accessible for me. I have not got a blog on there yet but that will come in time,blogging seems to be on the back burner with all I got going for a couple more days,.and I would also love to say thanks to mylot.I am sure they appreciate all of us noticing and likeing the changes.

Yes MyLot is a great place to us for our discussion,there's more interesting discussions available to me. You're right, too, seeing those emails is great! Not only does it make things easy, it makes me want to check it out right away to see how the discussion is going,my lot has really out done themselves this time around all of there upgrades are just awesome, it is so nice to be able to login to the homepage and have everything right there to get to.and I would also love to say thanks to mylot.I am sure they appreciate all of us noticing and likeing the changes.

For the discussions you responded to? I never had that. Not untill recently. The ones I created yes but not the ones others created and I responded to. Everyone I talked to mentioned they wanted this option as well.

I really like it too. At first I thought there was a mistake. I had a response and I thought to myself, I don't remember staring a discussion like that, duh, then it dawned on me what mylot did. It does make things easier and better for all of us. Way to go Mylot.

yep. even if there are lots of members still who kept on bragging about things regarding myLot, i am still thankful to myLot. this is a great site... improvements just show that his site will last for a very very long time.

The notify on feature was already there, Donna.
I've been using it since November, lol.
And "Discussions I've Responded to" has been there a while.
You must be too busy kicking azz ...

I tried to get by with saying "Smack my a$$ and call me Judy" to someone without the $$ signs in a private message, but it didn't work.

yes I like it I am not only getting email for responces for my friends but also any one that has repsonded to my post also if they responded to me under someone elses post thanks for bring this up and thanks Mylot for thinking of us suers in makeing thing better!

That is the only complaint that I have really had since I have been on here!
No more wasted time sifting through all the discussions I have replied to see to see if I have got a response back!
I agree it is hte best improvement yet and I don't know if they'll be able to top it! :)

I went to respond to you discussion about your new blog and website yet it seemed to be deleted! So I decided I still wanted to tell you what I thought of it so I went to send you a message. Low and behold! For some reason you were no longer on my friends list. If you deleted me just ignore this message and my new friends request and I will disappear. I don't know what happened.
Back to the orginal meaning of the message: You're site was very beautiful and I did indeed register:) I don't have a whole lot of time today (going to pick up my neice and nephews for the night) but I will explore it further in the future. It looks really good and your friend Val did an excellent job! Just wanted to say Congrats:) I hope all is well with you Miss Donna:)

Yep, MyLot sure is a great place, isn't it. I'm still adding new stuff to my profile and each time I do, there's more interesting discussions available to me. That is a handy feature, to be sure. There are, however, some other features that I would like to see added, one of which would be a way to edit something you've posted or delete a disucssion entirely, that is, if no one has replied to it yet. As it is, I had to ask administration to delete a duplicate comment, which is fine, because they were able to accommodate me.
I will say, though, that I am pleased overall, especially since it's still such a new site, relatively speaking.

yep. myLot had been to many upgrades and every time they upgrade something, i get happy about it. first days, i find it hard to go around especially if the layout is new. but actually, i love the upgrades.
isn't it amazing to know that our moderators are doing their best to make things easier for us? and i know some more upgrades will happen... let's wait and see.

Yes I like the fact that they've started notifying by email about responses to responses in others discussions. It makes life much easier and saves a lot of time looking back over discussions I've responded to.
Only slight complaint is that sometimes it takes ages for the emails to come through to me - frequently longer than 24 hours after the response has actually been left. Not sure if that's myLot or if it's down to my email provider though.

Even though I know my inbox if probably going to feel overwhelming at times...it is nice to get that notification that someone commented to my response.
I don't know how many times I have forgotten or lost a discussion in the shuffle.
So, there have been times that I have not gotten back to someone in a couple weeks! And I feel really bad for that!!!
So, I am grateful for these new notifications too. It is very helpful. :)

I know, the dreaded inbox issue; but if I remind myself to check my email daily and to discard a lot of it....... oh well, darn it Tia! I was really floating on that cloud....well, you know that I love dark and rainy days - they are perfect for putting in a movie and kicking back!~Donna

Lol, it seems I'm in the minority here!
I finally turned off every single email notification for my friends because my Yahoo! mailbox was getting way too full lol, and just when I'd gotten used to that, I've started getting a whole heap of response responses notifications in my Gmail account LOL.
Honestly, it's not that bad, I'm getting soooo many notification emails but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I just hate seeing my inbox so cluttered.
