What do you do with your old newspapers?

Do you still read newspapers? Do you have old newspapers piled somewhere in your house? How soon do you dispose the newspapers you have just read?
Some people can't let a day pass without getting a newspaper. Well, am just wondering what do these people do to these newspapers after reading them. Imagining you get a newspaper a day, so that's seven newspapers a week. If they aren't disposed right away, am pretty sure they would pile up in some corners of your house, could be in your desk, study table, living room center table, or at the table in your balcony. And sometimes they could be a little disgusting, especially when seen scattered and unattended. :P
Now, are you a some sort of fan of newspapers? If you are, then what do you do with them after reading them? Do you pile them in some particular place (shelf), and sell them to some recyclers when you have a bunch of them? or do you share them with some neighbors and let them take care of disposing it? or do you give them to some market vendors so they can use them to wrap the vegetables, fruits, and other products? or do you just throw them on the garbage bin after reading them?
please share your thoughts.. :)

I don't buy a newpaper every day as I wouldn't always get the time to read it and they are quite expensive. I would only buy one if there was a big news story making the headlines, otherwise I just watch the news on tv. I always buy the newspapers on Saturdays and Sundays and these are put into the recycle bin on Monday. My wife doesn't like to see old newspapers around the house so they are dumped as soon as I have finished reading them.

we only get 4 news papers in a week. and we keep them in the lounge room for about a week or 2, then usually put under the fire place (depending on the time of year it is). then usually end of the week we do the round up of papers and throw them in the bin.

Well qwe have a newspaper delivered eery day, plus there are usually a few free local papers delivered during the week too. Personally I prefer my news in a newspaper than any other way. It gives me time to "digest" it properly as I read, and really think about it, instead of being bombarded with images on TV. As to what I do with them - well we have recycling collections once a fortnight here in the UK, so we just put the old newspapers in a special recycling bin, and they are collected by the Council to be recycled, with no damage to nature or the environmnent.

I seldom buy newspapers. I only buy them if I am looking for a job. I usually watch news. But, I still have old newspapers piled in our house. If I have read it already, I dispose them. I'm not really a fan of newspapers. I dispose them by selling them, There are people roaming and buying old newspapers. I sell them. At least, I still get something worthwhile with my old newspapers. I think it is better if we try to recycle them rather than throwing them away. Our garbages maybe some help to other people.

We very rarely get a paper, mostly because we read the news online these days, but if we do have one it either gets composted or we soak it into pulp and turn it into a 'log' to go on our woodburner stove during the winter. I'm a great beliver in always recycling constructively if at all possible.

We recycle our newspapers... at the end of the week, when the garbage man comes, they pick up the recycling articles as well. Sometimes, we use them to clean up some different glass things in the house because they are actually pretty good at absorbing the glass cleaner and not leaving streaks... other than that, they go to the recycle bin right after we're done reading it.

We normally just read then chuck them to one side. They will be stacked up and sold when the stacks get unwieldy. I am not sure if this is only in Singapore - we have rag and bone men who come across to collect old newspapers and clothes. So we just sell the tons of newspapers to them for a pitiful few dollars. We can throw them away of course but why when we can sell them to the rag and bone man who will sell them to others who are reusing them.

I read newspaper sometimes and I have some old newsapaper piled up at my bedroom at home.I like to use the old newspaper to put on the table when I am eating so that I do not need to clean up the table after I finished eating, or may be I will use to wrap the rubbish in case I am doing clean up in my bedroom.

We get a free small town weekly newspaper delivered once a week. I enjoy reading it, looking at the announcement, auctions, and garage sales. Then when I am done with it, I either clean windows with them or my sons school has a recycling bin for paper, magazines, and phone books- it is open year round.

If I bought newspapers then I'll use them as toilet paper for my bathroom, failing this excellent idea, I just might use them to swat a fly should the need arise!!

Yes we still do read newspapers, yes we have some old newspapers but not that old as once we have read them we will use them to wrap our rubbish in before putting them in the garbage bin. But we only get one newspaper once a week or some times twice but not every day. We do pile them on the floor in the kitchen but due to that there are not many it does not cause a mess.

I can't say that I am a huge newspaper fan , but it helps me get started with my day.I read the editorials, sports and the business sections.Basically, I need to know what happened overnight and is it still safe to go out ,lol.Yes, I pile them up in a shelf and either sell it or give it away to a recycler depending on how much time I have.No matter how much I give away or sell ,there is always a huge number of them sitting in the shelf.

Yes. I still read newspapers. I have a subscription for a newspaper, which is coming to my house every morning in 5 am. I love reading newspapers, and there are alote of times that they do pile up, in the magazine room. But i do try to throw them away every week. I just keep the articles that i found most interesting, so i could read them again, but the rest i throw away.
Oh, and we always share the newspaper with our neighbors, because they also get a newpaper every morning, but it is a different one. so we share.

WEll we have many uses for our old newpapers. The kids use them to cover the table when they do crafts and i save them for my dad to start the fire with as well. Newspaper is also compostable so sometimes i line the compost bucket with it so the bucket stays cleaner. Sometimes i like to cut out special articles in them to put in a scrap book for future references as well.
