In my opinion "No". These two players are considered as back bone of the India. Atleast without Sachin, the Indian team is now complete. In my opinion, the decision to drop Sachin and Saurav from the One Day Squad is incorrect. What would you like to say on this issue.

Yes, it is a very correct decision made by the selectors by dropping saurav and sachin and especially sachin tendulkar who has not been playing well for the past nearly 3 to 4 years and has been playing only for his personal records rather than for the team. I also feel that virender sehwag should also have been dropped from both forms of cricket.

No i do not agree with you as these players are considered as the backbone of the Indian Cricket Team. you will see in the coming tours, there performance will improve a lot. How do you arrived at a conclusion that Sachin plays for his personal records.

I think Sourav shouldn't have been droped because he has been the only batsman who has scored consistently in the last two series and deserved to go to Bangladesh and also I wouldn't want to see India losing to Bangladesh even one game.
As far as Sachin is concerned, I think decision to drop him was right because he hasn't been same Sachin Tendulkar for the last few years. He hasn't been as consistent with his performances for which he was known. Just try to recall when was the last time he played a match-winning innings for which we adored him. Over the last few years he has just looked more and more vulnerable and the bowlers around the world are not scared of him anymore. He doesn't believe in playing aggressively anymore for which we loved him. I think he just deserved being kicked out of the team. I hope he will take this as a challenge and will be back playing the way we know he can.

The most comprehensive answer I could have thought for. Good One and a very comprehensive one. Yes indeed Saurav has performed well and there was no point dropping him and dropping sachin will improve his performance.

As a fan of these players, I would say that no this is not the correct decision but I think it had to happen someday or the other. The BCCI had a pressure from 1 billion people to take some strict actions. I hate Sourav's fielding and Sachin had been struggling for form as well and had not come good in crutial circumstances and so maybe to improve cricket in India, we (BCCI) has to take severe steps so that the future is bright and we need to accept them.

The most genuine answer Ihave found till now. You have give the most obvious answer which I was thinking in my mind. The decision is somewhat right to the extent that it will improve the performance of these senior players.
