I am 29 & still my moms baby. My girls will always be my babies. I gave birth to them & they can be my babies as long as they want to be.

I consider toddlers to still be babies. They are just more mobile and more vocal, lol. I think a child stops being a baby when they can do things for themselves, like dress themselves. For my kids that was around 3 1/2 (when they no longer needed my help to get dressed and put their socks and shoes on). It was around that time (around 4 years old) that they started to be self sufficient. At 4 I taught them each to make their own sandwiches.
They are 4, 5 and 6 now and love to prepare their own lunches. It came in real handy when I was pregnant with my now 1 year old because I couldn't get up to do it for them. They love to make their own meals. They are no longer babies. My 1 year old has been toddling around the house for 3 weeks now but she is still a baby. She needs me to get her food, to change her diaper and dress her. She can't really do anything on her own so she is still a baby.

It is my understanding that when a baby starts walking they are considered to be toddlers. My daughter is 18 months old and has been walking since a little after she turned 1. I still consider her to be my baby no matter how old she is or what she is doing.
