hi everyone! I'm 28 and I'm going back to school. I want to fit in by not looking my age. Modesty aside, I don't look my age. But I think I dress my age. The clothes in my closet are either working clothes (those that I wear to work), casual clothes (wear them if you want to be invisible), too skimpy for school (the guards won't let me in) and clothes that belong to the closet.
I'm a mother and I'm not ashamed of it. But I want my classmates to see me as someone who's not WAY WAAAAY older than them.
I need fashion advice. I want to wear what college kids are wearing without looking too "trying hard" or awkward.

Here in Texas a lot of the college kids are wearing Jeans and T-Shirt. Pretty much whatever they are comfortable in.
I guess it all depends on what you like. Be comfortable is the most important thing cause when you're uncomfortable you are gonna have a hard time sitting through lectures.

I'm going back to school as well, though most of clothes are casual & sporty most of them are sleeveless or spaghetti strapped shirts. If the college / university you'll go to have summer classes, try observing what the students are wearing and adopt their fashion sense. I think most college students are wearing jeans, knee length skirts and tee shirts.
