every question is important there are no dumb questions to ask. write down what you can think of so that youc an ask them all. ask for as many pamplets they can spare, websites, books, etc. they will be more then happy to do that. ask about support groups too. there are alot of those and they should know about them. the main thing is to ask what to expect between this visit and the next. also ask what you will do at the next visit and if there are anythings you should watch for as far as your body goes. this way you are alittle more relaxed as to what is happening and what will happen. it is normal to be scared with your first i was. congtas and dont worry things will be just fine i bet.

Reading your post I tried to remember the questions I asked with my doctor, but can't think of a thing. Don't worry your doctor will tell you everything. Congratulations!!! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and a baby :-)

At my first appointment, they recorded my weight, blood pressure, it was like a regular checkup. I got a lot of pamphlets and they gave me a pregnancy book. I'd ask about when you should come in if you are bleeding (sometimes you spot), diet, a prenatal vitamin (some doctors prescribe one or give you some), monitoring water retention since some women retain a lot. I got an ultrasound at the second appointment to determine how far along I was (couldn't base it off lmp since I couldn't remember it lol), some docs do that at the first one. Just think of different questions and write them down, it's easy to forget once you are there.

every single question you have is very important. as someone else mentioned write them all down and ask every single one of them. i was very disappointed with my first apt. they checked my weight and blood pressure but that was it, i got blood work done at my second apt. and the dr made me very concerned because i was an older mom and they were pointing out all the possible complications, very disappointing but after that apt the rest went well and even became exciting.

Congratulations. Write all your questions down so you won't forget. You will have bloodwork done or you should and maybe an ultrasound depending on your drs office and how far along you are. Its really exciting and overwhelming so its best to write everything down. I'm not sure what kind of questions you already have but I'm sure you covered everything. If not you will go back in a month and you can ask then.
