of course that is the whole point, macdonald is not healthy food, it is full of grease and calories and very fattening.

i don't mcdonalds alone should be blamed. there are lots of foodchains elsewhere. just kidding. joking aside, i think it's up to the person on how he/she handles her health well. we have our own eating habits and we are the ones who should be responsible in taking care of ourselves and not blame obesity to food chains. they aren't really pushing and forcing us to order from them. people had become too lazy to cook their own meals... cooking our own food is healthier than those that we have in fastfood chains. i hope people will learn to responsible enough for their health.

Mcdonalds do not force anyone to eat their joint and once in a while if you indulge , you do not get obese but if you make mcdonalds an addiction then only chances are there to make you obese. Rightly said by you that it is a persons eating habits that makes them obese. There are places where there is no Mcdonalds still people are obese so there exists no corelation between Mcdonalds and obesity.

yup. true. there's no co-relation between the two. people are just finding reasons to blame onto.

I think the main problem is that when people eat fast food they don't work it off. When I eat fast food I always lift weights and do a few extra push ups.

It is not what you eat but how you eat it and how active or not you are that leads to obesity. While fast food restaurants do their best to make their food look enticing, they do not force it down your throat. The main sustaining cause of obesity is the inability to force ourselves to say "No". I'd actually place more blame on the buffet mindset that doesn't require people to think about serving sizes. Unfortunately for people who are obese, the fat cells that you gain cannot be lost. So, unless people who are obese go in for liposuction, they're out of luck when it comes to actually keeping off weight. The best thing to do is not allow yourself to endulge in everything just because you can. That's what treat days are for.

people should not really blame mcdonalds...who said they must eat a lot from mcdonalds? it is their own choice whether or not to eat from mcdo and it's their choice how much they would eat...so it really is their fault and they must not blame others for lacking self control

I agree with you. I get so disgusted when people blame their obesity on fast food restaraunts. No one is forcing it down their throats, they are choosing to eat it. They are making a concious decision upon what they stuff in their mouth. I am overweight, because I don't always eat correctly and I don't get enough exercise. That is my fault and no one elses. There is no one else to blame. However, there are people that have medical conditions that cause them to be overweight, and I recognize that. That is the only legitimate excuse.

I eat Mcdonalds very often but I can manage my weight. I do overweight when I was still in school. Now I control what to eat and lots of exercise. Not for a good body though, just for a healthy body.

Yes we should all cook and eat at home more - but in these times, that doesn't happen as often as it used to - that is just a fact of life. On the other hand, why should people who get fat be able to blame the fast food joints? Noone forces them to go there to eat but yet it is okay for the public to blame the fast food restaurants? Why? Next thing you know, kids will be trying to get their parents arrested for child abuse if they are overweight ^o^ Now tell me what sense any of that makes please?

i dont think you can blame any reasturant for being overweight, seeing as there is so many healthy choices to choose from, you just have to limit yourself on what you can have and the amount if you choose not to eat off the healthy meals...

I believe that fast food chain have something to do withthe overall issue of obesity. I know. It is not the only factor, but It countributes. 15 years ago there were no obesity issue in my country. However, after fast food chains came (I am not naming names) obesity problesm started to arrise and after 15 years people are fatter tahn ever. I am sure that the sedentary lifestyle has also something to with it. BUt anyway this is my opinion. I appreciate if you answer my question too!!!!

Yes your right that eating habits do contribute a lot to bring overweight. But I have found that in the food we eat today (even fast foods) have a preservative in it that cause your body to crave that food. And you know we like to cater to our cravings. It addicting. I know why the bible talks about overeating a lot now. Bit no Mcdonalds isn't to blame. Being overweight can be health related or a number of things.
