As some of you know I am looking for a job, and since qualifying back in July with my NVQ3 haven't been lucky in getting a job working with children!
After posting my Autism/ADHD discussion earlier for the job of working on a 1 to 1 basis with a boy with Autism and ADHD I handed my application form in today, as it was the closing date, I took it in at 10am. I got a message when I returned from the gym at 1pm inviting me for an interview THIS Thursday!
Then the lady rings me up again asking if it's ok to contact my references ALREADY!!!!
My head is bursting, it's going so quick!
I've also been short-listed for another position as a pre-school assistant with an interview THIS Wednesday!
It's like waiting ages for a bus then two come along! It don't rain it pours
What's the betting, sods law? That I will get BOTH?! And you know what I'm like at making decisions!
Fingers crossed for Wednesday and Thursday two interviews in two days WOW!
I can hardly take it all in!
Does that happen to you, you get NOTHING then suddenly EVERYTHING comes at once!

That is fantastic news hun, and I am jealous:-) Nah, I might also have a job, having just had a telephone interview this morning. If it comes down to a straight choice, all I can suggest is go with your instincts hun, and whatever you decide, they will be very lucky for having you with them

It's much better to have two prospects than none, my friend. It just goes to show that you're an appealing candidate!
Don't tell either that you're up for another job though, just let on that you have other options available. That way, they should see you as being in demand, but keen on their job, rather than feeling that they could be wasting their time with the chance they could go through the employment process, only for you to pick the other.

Hey that is great! I wish you quadruple the luck in getting the job you most want. I hope you do well in both the interviews. It has on occasion in my life poured luck on me but it hasn't in a long time..maybe it's my turn next? I have a nephew with Autism/ADHD my sister in laws boy. So I know how much of a task you'll be facing and I wish you luck.

You sure have a lucky star under your belt to be this blessed. I'm glad that you are beginning to feel the excitement of having a job. I tried to bang my head to think of a day when I have this same lucky event like yours. But all I can think of was that it was always raining hard and pouring doubly hard, LOL! I might have overlook a special date here. My mind is already a little frazzled right now. Good luck, my friend.

I had the same expriance as you did, well i admit that i havn't really looked for a job eriously, but when i started learning last week, the people that run the college, liked me and they offered me a job agreeing to my terms, a day after i was offered another job selling a product i really like, and i am starting both on this wednsday. I am so glad for you. I do think you will get the job that you like. always remember that you are choosing them as much as they are choosing you. Good luck wolfie:)

It only happens to me with bad luck. ha ha
So, good for you!
And I'm sorry, I misunderstood this morning and thought that you had already gotten the job. But hey, that may be a good thing. :) Maybe I was seeing what was meant to be. :)
Congrats on the two interviews. I know how this waiting has been long and hard.
I will be cheering for you to get an offer from both. Then you can take the better offer. :)

Congratulations! And I must say it's refreshing to see someone use that phrase in a positive light. Usually when someone says "when it rains it pours" they are about to complain about all the horrible things happening to them. So anyway Good Luck and Best Wishes with everything you have going on.

that is so wonderful. Its great to hear that all the good news is happening for you. You are right it all tends to happen at one time. I have often wondered why that is. Keep us posted on how things go. The very best of luck to you.

Actually, yes - I think this happens a lot. All I can say is that I'm very pleased for you, because you certainly deserve some luck by now. I sincerely hope the intervews go well, and if they do offer you them both, then just take your time, and I'm sure you will amke the right decsion! Good luck!

That couldn't be anymore true.
It's seems my life is set that when something happens it's not just one thing but a whole of stuff which makes it one big problem. I can't remember the last I've had to deal with just one thing, normally in numbers which only makes us stronger.
Kudos,
~Joey

I konw exactly what you mean Wolfie! Sometime ago I was looking for a job and by chance I received two interviews on the same day! Although it wasn't difficult for me to chose which job to accept!
Those buses do like to come in pairs!!!!!!!!!
Good luck for Wednesday and Thursday
