I have a real nack for falling asleep in public, I've done it at friends and families houses while visiting, on buses subways cars trains and airplanes. Where was the most embarrassing place you ever fell asleep? Mine: A few years ago I had an emergency at work that prevented me from leaving at the normal time, in fact it prevented me from leaving that night at all, and well into the next day. I did grab a few hours sleep here and there I was pretty exhausted when the next work day began, yet I was still stuck there for several more hours. Naturally what happened is I fell asleep at my desk for about an hour, I woke up to everyone in my area laughing at me, they had been discussing if they should wake me up or not. I was quite embarrassed.

I don't really fall asleep easily...especially on public transit. However...my boyfriend falls asleep anywhere and everywhere. He always falls asleep on public transit usually coming home from work. He has even fallen asleep sitting up ...which I find very amusing...He has fallen asleep standing up too....I wish I could fall asleep so easily and take little naps every once in a while...

Can't really say it was embarassing but was most certainly hazardous. My hubby had we returning froma really long drive home. We were both tired. Had even pulled over earlier that eve to catch a few ZZZZZ's. We slept about 3 hours and continued on After a bit hubby asked me to drive so I did. I was still tired but managed to drive That was until I saw the sign outside of town Knowing we were finally home I must have totally relaxed. On the road one minute and in the ditch the next. Was that ever scary Good thing the ditch was level and didn't cause any damage. Now that was about 15 years ago Hubby still hates dozing in the truck when I am driving. Every 10 2nds he is asking you OK LOL Wendy

LOL I've come close to that a few times... I was driving back from a city that is a couple hours away and on a small back road where nothing seemed to change and not a single bend in the road, I was feeling dozey and at one point I closed my eyes and opened them to discover that the song I had been listening was not on anymore and a new one was a couple minutes into it. To this day I don't know if I dozed and got lucky driving straight or if the radio station screwed up, it was very jarring to suddenly have another song on.... Other times I have kind of dozed and woken up to the sound of the rumble strips they put on the side of some roads now.... I love those things they have saved my life numerous times LOL.

The funniest time for me is when I was eight months pregnant with my second son and I fell asleep in the bathroom on the toilet and someone had to come and get me. I wanted to just die. It was quite obvious that I had fallen asleep because they had to knock on the door more than once to wake me up.

My boyfriend has a habit of doing that all time, I am sure he has plenty of stories, although I don't do this often, my story is that one time when we first started dating and could not see each other enough and were spending every waking hour together, therefore not getting any sleep but a mere 1 or 2 hours a night, well one time I was in the middle of pleasing him and fell fast asleep (to the point of not waking up, mouch open .. you get the picture), he woke me up to only rest my head on the pillow, the next morning I got a recap of what happened. ;)

One should NEVER complain about that ... at least in my book, although we may be tired, I am sure we could all wake up for a few minutes to give our partner what they are wanting

people who know me call me a quick sleeper... i can sleep anywhere at anytime of the day when i feel like sleeping. embarrassing moments for me is when i am travelling.. bus, airplane, trains.. name it. it's just that whenever travelling, i really get too tired and sleepy. and so, i sleep. i usually conk my head on the windows of buses, trains and airplanes. it is really painful and a bit embarrassing to people who could see me. anyway, at such times, i don't get much bothered about being embarrassed, i just go back again and conk my head again and sleep again. hehe. happy myLotting!

Mine was in my car...but thankfully not while driving!LOL.. I had come out of work after a 12 hour shift and was arranging my "errands" and my cell phone rang...I answered it and my husband hurriedly said he had to take another call and that he would call me right back..rather than get out on the road and have to take his call while driving, I opted to wait for his return call...well...I started my car to get warm and took a deep breath and leaned back on my seat...my CD player had one of my favorite's playing so I just relaxed and closed my eyes....oops...it was so crazy when I woke up I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on...my car was running...everything was the same...but it was really dark out...and I looked at the clock...I had been asleep in my car for over an hour!!!! I was so embarrassed...but no one seemed to have noticed ( is that good?)...my husband had never called me back and I had just slept through a couple of CD's... I 've often wondered if people came out to their cars and saw me sleeping...but no one ever said anything...and we've ahd some good laughs about it!!! :)

I used to play in an orchestra a while back. Once, during a rehearsal, I was so tired from my lack of sleep the previous night that I actually fell asleep while I was playing my violin, and the strange thing is I kept playing, and I played everything right until I woke up and couldn't find my place in the sheet music because we'd progressed a couple of pages. The guy sitting next to me was a little baffled. My boyfriend falls asleep on the toilet. ALL the time. And inevitably when he wakes up, his legs have gone numb. He did this about a week ago in the public restroom in my apartment...about half an hour later, I knocked on the door and he came stumbling out. I had to help him into the lounge nearby to sit down because he couldn't even stand upright on his numb legs. It was too funny.

I think that would be embarrasing. My husband is the one who has a habit of falling asleep in public. He can fall asleep anywhere. I have a hard time at times falling asleep even when I am extremely tired. I did have a friend who's husband would fall asleep even when driving. He had a sleep disorder of some kind. Anyway, so long as this is not something you do on a regular bases I would not worry so much, if you are doing this when driving or something though you may want to see a doctor to make sure that you don't have a sleep disorder. My friends husband wrecked his truck several times because of this, it can be dangerous, but if you are just falling asleep at your desk because you are tired I would not worry about it. Even though it is embarrassing to have everyone looking at you....

I have never really fallen asleep in public places. But I used to feel drowsy while travelling to my college.I used public transport then and it used to take me an hour to reach my college from home.We lived in a small town and the college was in a nearby town.My sisters would tease me always.I would always be constantly woken up by my friends if I did not respond to their jokes or conversations.I would feel embarrassed always.Once I almost fell asleep in my litarary history class. My professor asked me to answer a question that very moment which saved me a lot of embarrasment because I had my book open and I just answered the question vaguely but that taught me a lesson for sure. After that I never fell asleep.I would keep a bottle of water by my side and wet my eyes with some water if I felt drowsy.
