Nowaydays it is not easy to find a good paid job. I think it will be better for our children to go to University to receive further education so that they can pursuit a better career and have a better life in future. What is your opinion about this?

These days it's even hard to find a good paying job with a degree.More education does not always equal more pay. I think that it is good to encourage our children to further their education rather it is developing new skills, attending a Community College, or going to a University. Going to a University does not guarantee a good paying job but it does open more doors for career opportunities. I believe that people can be paid very well rather they go to a University or not. I know a millionaire that did not go to a University. He was just business smart. I also have some friends that did not go to a University and are doing very well financially. I hope that one day my children will make a decision to further their education. I am going to encourage them but I want it to be their choice.

I thank God that I only owe $16,000 in student loans. It's because I paid as I went which means I had to work and go to school and my parents also helped me with room and board and tuition, but my friend owes over $100,000 dollars from going to school of course she continued on to law school so she will make more as a lawyer once she pass the tests and should be able to pay that off.

Wow! $100,000 dollars debt, this figure is massive! Every country's government should do something for the university students, as education is the first priority and future.

Nowadays many students are on big debt after three years university study, it becomes a controversial argument that it is worth of studying in the university or not as no further education receivers may get better paid than those who has been to the university.

Yes, I think that kids need a higher education to get a better career. However, I have 2 kids and I doubt that the oldest one goes to college as she is not interested. She works hard now and I am sure that she will always do that. Until the world changes and we go to a different lifestyle it will take both adults working to have a nice life and be able to make ends meet. I wish moms could go back to being moms, but it can't happen in the world today.

Yeah, we had better leave our children to decide what they want for their future life.

It depends on what the child want to do in the future. Some kids are not cut out for the academic life, some people are more practical minded and like hands-on work, and would to better with at a technical school or something. With internship options nowadays, there're so many options.

We live in a competitive World and if you want good things in life later, then one must go to a university for higher education, If however you have some special talents like music, painting then you can just join special courses that help in making these your profession. Whoever has the chance for higher education should never miss it.

I think it is important that they receive some sort of post secondary education to learn a trade of some sort. Unfortunately, at 17, kids are not ready to move to that next level and many are taking a year off before they go. From there, they may find themselves comfortable in their lifestyle and put off going to college or university for another year, and then another, and then another. Up until last year, in Ontario, we still had grade 13 in our secondary schools which meant kids were graduating at 18 years of age. They were a little more prepared for university than 17 year olds. But now that they have eliminated grade 12, kids just aren't ready. My daughter is starting high school next year. When we went to orientation we were told in order to pick your courses you should think of what you want to do do when you grow up, what university course you want to take and then pick your high school subjects accordingly. Hello? These are 13 year olds. They don't know what they want to do yet. Right now my daughter has waffled between hair dresser, fashion designer and interior designer. Furthering their education is a must if they want to make something of themselves in this world and be able to support themselves independently and possibly a family some day. Otherwise they'll be working for minimum wage at a fast food joint.

Yes, I think it is very important to go to a school of higher education. One day not too long from now my daughter will be old enough to have graduated high school and will be going to college I do not care if my husband and I bot have to work three jobs to pay for it or not. My daughter wants to be a zooligist and tha t is at least 8 years right there, but she wioll go and graduate if it is the last thing I make sure of before I die.
