he was passing a car and when he got around our 2 yr. old started hollering go faster. and being the man that he is he did it. and just has he did it a state trooper toped the hill. he was doing 85 m.p.h in a 55 m.p.h zone. i could kill him. and to make it even worse i just made a descussion about his driving. one more ticket this year and they revoke his license for 60 days. you would think a 33 year old man would know better than letting a 2 year old talk him into going faster and getting tickets.

He's suppose to be a role model for the child and teach them how dangerous it is to drive fast and what will happen.

well he did teach them cause and effect. you speed you get stoped by police. then you get a ticket. so i guess it does kind of teach lessons. by a expensive one.

oh man! that sucks, I'm sorry for you! He shoudln't be driving that fast, especially with a young child in the car! Big no no! I think you should ground him from the car! lol. That'll teach him. Just curious...did he try blaming the child when the cop came to the car? lol

driving is a passion for many than rather a locomotion method.its a common thought in men that rises their spirit to ddrive fast as if they themselves feel their adrenalin flow paying out through the speed on roads.hes only 33 i know people who age50+ and drive at great speeds saying driving swiftly gives them the air of youth.what energy they cant produce they experience it through the throttle of the car.as of your case, dad are always childrens life time heroes.they expect a lot from their fahers and boast of them around, they expect their dad to be that hero.speed is one of the way dads have to show it out.but at cases one has to consider the rules also.so it isnt a natural fault for men to behave so,but it his pride that makes them do it.speeding is not always the right way to show your pride or rage out.thankyou

Boys will be boys indeed. We need some toys to play with. Some boys are into sports, some cars, some investments and some gadgets. These are just some examples of boys toys. Of course like any toys it must be used safely. It seems that he does not really think about safety of his family while using his toys so it may be better teaching him a lesson using harsh methods. I've seen on tv cops showing persistent speeders the outcome of accidents.

What I don't understand is how the police officer gave him the ticket after knowing there were a 2yr old kid screaming in the backseat. Is he heartless? lol I guess we are children, a big kid that like to have fun. Especially with other kids. The important thing is that they both know that it shouldn't happen again.

Seems to me like he was trying to impress the 2 year old, but still it was a foolish thing for him to do. I have an aunt who is much older and still get's speeding tickets, how she keeps her driving license I'll never know. Talk to your husband about this behavior, he needs to be more responsible, especially driving, speeding can also cause accidents.
