referrals on mylot and others

How do you all go about getting referrals on this site and other ptr, ptc, pts sites? my real life friends seem to have no interest in any of this, and i havent been able to get referrals on any site i use. what are some of your own ways of getting referrals?

I use some of the ideas mentioned in a free program I'm a member of. It shows you how to promote your sites/affiliate programs etc - plus other ways to earn.
I actually started a discussion similar to this a little while ago - seems a lot of people though use traffic exchanges etc.

Have you ever seen that story about taking a penny and doubling it everyday for 30 days?
By the end of it you would have millions and millions of pennies.
Getting referrals seems to work the same way ...in the opposite direction!
You have millions of people to start. Some will take the time to sign up. Only a few of them will actually do anything.
Knowing this upfront will preserve your sanity.
So the key is getting your message in front of as many as you can. That is where the work comes in. It can be expensive in your time and/or money.
MyLot allows you to get in front of people through discussions. Make yourself famous or even semi-famous here and you will attract the people you want.
