Have you ever listened to a song with music that was so upbeat or peppy and then you listen to the lyrics and you find that it's so depressing? Do you even listen to the vocals? When my dog died, I wanted a good non-depressing song to listen to so I could take my mind off him for a bit, I chose to listen to Mr. Raindrop by Amplified. The music was great and made me feel better but then the lyrics... "....Mr. Raindrop fallin' away from me now Do you know how much you mean to me, why must you leave? I'm just a flower on a tree, why must you leave?" There's more but it just repeats alot. It just made me sad again and think of my dog as Mr. Raindrop. Maybe it's better to listen to music with no lyrics when you're sad just to be safe? What do you all think? Feel free to talk about songs that make you feel better =)

There are a lot of wonderful tunes and melodies out there but with porr lyrics. I could appreciate this but not really the lyrics because that would not give out any meaningful song at all. :)

the song that comes to mind is Every Breath You Take. If you just listen to the music it is an upbeat song. but if you listen to the lyrics it is a stalker song.I usually watch a movie to cheer up. One of my favs is Empire Records. It has some great songs.

Yeah "In A Crowded Place I see her face and I don't know what to do cause I'm so in love with you. Your beautiful, your beautiful it's true." James Blunt and the Bread advert. Also "because your gorgeous I'd do anything for you." It reminds me of a guy I fancied at the time but, her didn't know my feelings for him.
