does money really matter?

For a long time i have thought one question:is it worth to cost our life in pursuit of money.although i have a job,but i think my payment is very low so i want to earn more through some ways. i have try some online earning--by clicking their adverticements. but many times i ask myself:is it worth? after all i spend much time on it ,but i gain little from it.more importantly,i am not happy while doing those things.but i can not control myself as i do really need money.i donot know what is wrong with me and i do hope know early.who could tell me why do i be so ?thank you!
