This isn't a situation that I have been in before, but good on you for learning another language. Maybe these suggestions might help?
1) If you have some friends who also speak english, any time you are with them make the decision to speak nothing but english.
2)Every day chose a certain number of words that you want to add to your vocabulary, and have a rule where you have to use the word in the right context either written or spoken.
3) Have a penpal whose first language is english or whose english is good. That will help with your written english and you could even get them to point out any errors in your letters or emails.
Good luck with your progress.

Practice! Practice! Practice! Speak, and write in English frequently. Make friends with people who speak English. Find pen pals who speak English to communicate with. There websites that help you to learn English online. Here are a few websites that might help:

The best way for improvement for me is by reading a lot of English books, listening to music and watching films. To get all these materials you can find the British Council in China (if there is such, but I'm sure there is). At the British Council there's a big library with all level books, films, magazines,DVDs and casettes. Just remember to read a lot.

Well if u really want to improve ur English the best way is to read good English literature. Try to devote as much as time u can to reading. And always keep a good dictionary, a thesaurus and a good grammer book (like Wren and Martin) at hand. Watching English movies, series, etc is also helpful. Also try to listen some good English music as well, especially from 80's or 90's. And at last make a group of friends among whom u always try to communicate in English.

First and foremost, you must always communicate to those people who are good in English, like here in MyLot (that's why I'm here). Second, read and read English books or pocket books, Third, watch english TV shows..

Hi Sanque, Learning a second language will always be difficult, but never impossible, I found that the most beneficial way to learn any language is, too surround yourself with original speakers of that language, or the language your learning. This is the most fastest and most effective way to learn a language. In your case you want to improve on your english speaking skills, so go hangout with english speakers you will pick it up much faster... Believe me when I say this and go try it out. Even chatting online to english speaking people helps. Goodluck Matey

Maybe we are fellow traveler,I'm also learning English now,I've got some experiences hope that might help.
First, you should make yourself clear what's your English for,I mean you should adopt different ways to study English that for different purposes,if you want to be a teacher or you want to be a translator or a interpreter they are all differen form each other.
Second,I want to say people are all different everyone is unique so their ways to study a foreign languages must be different, find you own way, other's suggestion if for reference only.
