I owned one desktop in my room.
That's enough for me, if you were sharing pc with another the best way is to creak another user account in windows.
I seldom share my pc with my family, but only my beloved hehe..
If you need to purchase more tools, that you may login to http://softwaress.blogspot.com here really a good place for purchasing tools that you need in ur pc, its cheap :)
Good luck

In a way I have my own desktop computer and my boyfriend has his MacBook, but we share both with each other. Officially we do each have our own computer though. I've heard of other couples having the same thing, both having their own computer, so I think it's starting to become quite common.

a funny thing for us is, both my mother and myself used to have a computer each where only her computer was connected to the internet - that computer broke so she bought a new one. she was then told that she could get the old one fixed for a low price since we only had to replace the power supply. so now we have 3 computers and my mum still wants to use her old computer - so now i use 2 computers - i feel kinda guilty since she paid for it.

Hubby and I each have our own computers as well. We share an office though. We both have seperate computers mainly because we run two seperate businesses. He has his mechanics shop and I have my freelance writing. We also have two old spare computers...one my son used when he lived with us for a bit. The old ones aren't set up though. We really need to get rid of them, but we're both packrats.

i think for people who really needs to work on computers need to have one for himself. my husband and i also have one each and another as back up. since our work is mainly done in the computer, we can't afford to share with one. in our home, we have 3 desktop and 3 laptops. desktops are for me and my husband while my sister-in-law and brother-in-law have their own laptops.

No, i don't think you are weird or odd at all. In our house, I have a laptop, my brother have a desktop. And my boyfriend also have a laptop which he always bring along with him. I find it useful since we can save our own files, have bigger hard drive capacities and we can setup a LAN right in our home. =)

We have 4 computers, but two main, one for me and the other for my wife. But for now, my wife's computer is broken so we need to share the same computer. The two other are stored (one is an old laptop) and the other is maybe for a file server (old Pentium I).
