Summer is only a bit away in the states. What do you grill out for dinners?

One of my faves is to buy the bags of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and toss a bottle of some type of dressing in it, leave it in the fridge overnight and the next day when I get home from work or running, pull them out and grill them. Some great "marinades" can be made from inexpensive, store brand salad dressings. One bottle works perfectly, the small or medium sized ones.
Here's some I've used:
Italian Dressing
Ranch Dressing
peppercorn ranch dressing
catalina dressing
raspberry vinegrette
What are some things you do on the grill?

Chicken is really great on the bbq after marinating over night in catalina dressing, that is my favorite way to have chicken. Of course a big, fat, juicy steak is great too! With a baked potato that has sour cream and fresh chives. Salmon steaks marinated over night in teriyaki sauce is great too! Those are my 3 favorite bbq'ed summer dinners.

You're going to laugh but for me, it's cheaper to buy the 99 cent baked potatoes from Wendy's on the way home then to make my own. By the time you buy big baking potatoes you've already paid more then 99 cents each for them. I do add our own toppings often but it's just so much easier and cheaper to buy the Wendy's ones for 99 cents!

Oh my gosh...my post is gone. It was here. I saw it twice even. *crying* And I don't have it copied anymore cause I copied something new. So not nice mylot do mean things like that to us.
Anyway...as I said. We do kabobs quite often now, we so love them and are totally addicted to them in the summer time. We season up the steak (which is what we normally use with them, but I bet any meat would be good) and put it on the kabob stick with pineapple, red or yellow peppers, & cherry tomtatos. Yum Yum. They are so good.
We also of course like the regular steak, chicken, sasuages or hot dogs.

Yum. Ya know, we have never made kabobs ever! I should do that. Do you marinate them?

Jason sometime maradianes the meat in whatever he feels like, but most of the time he just seasons them I think.

I’m starving-
We too grill out a lot of boneless, skinless chicken! It’s easy and so tasty—we cook enough to have lots left- I marinate usually in Italian dressing- or BBQ sauce- sometimes with nothing more than lemon pepper seasoning. We use the leftover chicken for chicken salads (tossed salad with pieces of chicken) - this makes a great summer meal.. And we use the leftover for quesadillas- fast, quick and another great summer meal.
I love shish kabobs. We use beef, green pepper, mushrooms (fresh), pineapples, onions.. YUM! My daughter loves to put these together and she is the flipper on the grill (or should I say turner of the sticks).
We grill zweigles hot dogs (made in NY)... The big red pop opens! These are the best. Serve with chips and macaroni salad-
We grill out steak a lot! Love it- Marinate in A1 Marinade over night- We use NY Strip Steak- it’s my favorite—a lot of times I’ll cut up potatoes and add peppers and onions and roll in foil and throw them on the grill with steak- Grilled potatoes. These are so good.
We also grill pork chops.—the thicker ones. Put honey BBQ sauce on them. My sig. other loves this meal.
Of course a lot of hamburgers! Can’t go wrong with hamburgers on a summer night... Load them up with lots of condiments and lettuce, tomatoes, onions.
OK—I better stop- I’m even hungrier now!

Oh man... steak off the grill cannot be beat and I don't care where you go you can't find it as good as when you do it at home can ya?
I can't get my kids to eat any meat with bones in it. I know, weird. But they've basically grown up on boneless chicken and boneless pork chops, even boneless steaks. So they just never really saw their meat with bones. Now they say it reminds them they're eating an animal! LOL Especially chicken.

Any kind of vegetable delicately marinated in either roasted garlic or Italian dressing works for me ! The rest of the family does steak, scampis, pork chops, ribs, and of course tons of fresh fish !

I'm going to have to do more grilled veggies this year. While I'm not a big fan of veggies (grew up without eating them)my kids love them and I'm sure they'd die for grilled ones with dressings, etc.

I love chicken grilled, I also love fish especially one of the firmer fish like swordfish or tuna. We marinade it and then drop it on the grill We grill mushrooms in foil packets with olive oil and parmesan cheese on top. They turn out quite nice.

We love to grill all year long. If it is snowing really bad and we just HAVE to grill, we roll the grill as close to the sliding glass doors as possible :)
One of our all time favorites to grill is Carne Asada.
It is marinated skirt steak.
Sometimes I make my own marinade, but usually I buy it already marinated at the carniceria (hispanic meat market).
If you ask for Ranchero Prepardo, you'll get the marinated already meat.
It is so yummy with rice and beans, chips and salsa and guacamole.
Our friends request it often :)
Oh ! And lets not forget a Margarita :)

One of my favourites is a lovely tender grilled lamb steak. I usually use steaks cut from the best end of the leg of lamb, marinaded in lemon juice, rosemary and fresh mint with a hint of garlic too. Once the lamb is on the grill I take the remaining marinade and add it to some melted butter and a little plain flour to make a lovely lemon and mint sauce

We do ribs, steaks, chicken, brisket, and shrimp. I like to make packet meals to put on the grill too. In foil put your meat, potatoes, onions, seasonings and any other vegetable you might want add a pat of butter seal them up and lay on the grill or in the hoe coals of a campfire.

We used to do those at camp all the time! I love those too and it is so easy because the kids can join you in creating their own packets and it takes the work off mom!

Me and my neighbors will grill steaks, chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. Those are very popular here and we just use steak sauce for the steaks and some other types of dressing. What you do sounds really good so I will have to get my family and friends to do the same thing. I do not have an outdoor grill right now. I am definitely looking forward to the summer and the cookouts.

I like marinating pork ribs, chicken and T-Bone Steak .in A1 marinating steak sauce overnight. The very next day we cook the meat on a charcoal grill. We also wrap buttered corn on the cobb in aluminum foil and cook that on the grill also. YUM YUM, I think we'll do this for the upcoming Memorial Holiday.

We grill out in the spring, summer, fall and winter! As long as the weather permits which it usually does here in New Mexico. The biggest problem we run into is the wind. I do find myself grilling out more in the summer months though. I think it is because I can cook dinner and not have to get my house all hot. I like to buy the McCormick Grill Mates marinades, they come in a little packet and you just add water, oil and vinegar. I throw it all in a ziplock bag and put it in the fridge like you do. The best part about these marinaides is they only cost about $1 at Walmart. I also like to use Seaseme Ginger salad dressing as a marinade, it make great oriental chicken!

We also do alot of the boneless chicken but have only used Italian dressing or Barbecue sauce, the peppercorn ranch sounds good. We also do steak, or hamburgers and hot dogs.I prefer to eat the grilled food which we mainly cook on during the summer and have already used the grill twice this year.

We do all the usual things like hamburgers and hot dogs. My kids really like drumsticks and chicken thigs, as well. For my son's brithday he usually gets me to barbecue him some steak and we make a big production of going down to the butcher and choosing cuts of meat.

Our favorite is ribs and a potato and vegetable packet. My husband rubs the ribs with mustard, then puts on a layer of brown sugar. He lets that cook for a while and then adds some spices to it. Our favorites are just adding garlic, pepper corn, chili powder, salt and any other thing he can think of. Our potato and vegetable packets include potatoes, red onions, zucchini, red, yellow, and green peppers, a little bit of jalepeno pepper, banana peppers, and zucchini. Season it with a bottle of clear italian dressing and some butter and garlic and we are good to go. We barbecue all year round if the weather permits. My husband loves to smoke things too.
