How did you potty train your puppy?

Consistancy, consistancy, consistancy. I took my little miniature pincher out every hour the first week I got her. Gradually, I increased the time to two hours, three hours, etc. When I took her outside and she did her business, I made sure that she heard the praise in my tone of voice. When she messed in the house, I used a negative tone. It wasn't long before she learned! Newspapers never worked for her.

Get a crate. . one that will be big enough to house your dog as an adult. When you can't keep an eye on your puppy, crate him.

I crate train all of my dogs and it works magic! You put them in a crate that is big enough for them to lie down, stand up, and turn around. Put their toys ect in there and then let them out every hour or so to pitty and when they go Praise them like they just peed a million dollars! When they potty inside firmly say "NO" and take them otuside and once they eliminate praise them again!
