Rosie to take over TPIR?

Have you heard the rumors that Rosie O'Donnel will be taking over hosting The Price Is Right after Bob Barker leaves? This better NOT be true. That woman has absolutely NO class. Bob is completely full of class. To appoint her as new host would dishonor and insult Bob's career. They need to get someone who has Bob's same morals and his same class. i sent CBS a note saying that if Rosie takes over Bob's position, my friends, my family, and i will never watch the show again. It is bad enough that we have to say goodbye to Bob, but for the show to completely lose all class means i have no reason to watch it anymore. What do you think?

I really hope that is just a rumor and doesn't happen. Rosie O'Donnel would not be good for the show at all. If they want a comedian in there get Whoopi, she knows how to handle herself correctly with others. I loved her on Hollywood Squares and she could be very good as a game show host. Rosie would not be good for it and would drag the show down. I think it would be better to not have anyone on there and just let the show go off the air when Bab Barker leaves.

I find it weird that at this late date we haven't heard any news as to who will take over. I vote for Adam Sandler. LMAO. No joke, I mean it, it would be hot.

i think it is odd, too. It is like they are purposely not telling us who it is so we don't pass judgement before they are even onstage. But i think they have begun taping with the new person.

Yes, I heard about that because I recently saw Jeff Trachta live (in March 2007) and he was talking about Bob Barker retiring and that he and Rosie were among the people that were to replace Bob. Actually, if you want, write CBS to recommend Jeff Trachta, he is SO funny! I love his impression and he has the MOST wonderful personality. Actually, he has a similar personality as Bob. Well, the reason why I don't think Rose would do good is because she is outspoken and generally discussing her gay values on TV. Since the game show is watched by all ages, I don't think that is appropriate for children. No offense to her values, but no one wants to her all that crap on a game should. To be honest, I love her a lot. I think she has a lot of talent and I would watch her on the game show. However, Rosie compared to Jeff Trachta is like day and night. I would say that Mr. Trachta is more talented than Rosie and his personality and charisma would match perfectly in the game show. So, please write CBS today and tell them that you want Jeff Trachta as a replacement and not Rosie. Pablo

i have no issue with her talking about being gay and her beliefs. i don't think that is unsuitable for children. However, i don't think it belongs on a game show. The whole point of that show is the fgame. It is ligh-hearted anf dun. She would not knwo how to do that. not only that, but she is a filthy person. i REALLY don't like her at all.

I don't think that she is right for the job and I don't think that CBS will hire her for it. I am sure that with the controversy that there is surrounding her right now that they don't want to take her in on this. Will anyone do the type of job on it that Bob Barker done? No way! I wouldn't even want the job of stepping into that job as he is such a tough act to follow.

He sure IS a tough act to follow! i wouldn't want to be the next host, i will tell you that much. i don't think anyonw can do what Bob did. He jsut is a legend all his own. i feel sorry for the next person, actually. You know they will not even be given a fair chance because everyone will compare them to Bob. It's inevitable. i don't think people can even help it.

I can't imagine anyone other than Bob being the host on The Price is Right. I used to watch that show everyday with my grandma and she loved Bob! Anyway, I don't think that Rosie would be a good host for that show. There is too much controversy over her right now and I don't think that she has the personality that it takes to do that show. After seeing Jef Foxworthy on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader", I think that he would be good for it. Howie Mandel would be good too,but he has "Deal or No Deal" so he is not going to go there.

Howie Mandel could never do TPIR. He has his germ-a-phobia so badly that he cannot handle to hug or shake hands. People WANT to hug and shake hands on that show.

NO effing kidding! Nobody will watch it. Ratings will drop. It will be a waste of money to keep it on the air. There probably won't even be many people who want to go on it.

Oh this has to be a rumor, where did you hear this?? I can't stand Rosie, in fact I was deliberately not watching the View cause she was on it, I used to watch it all the time prior to her coming on the show. I think she is too opinionated for the general public to watch. If she gets on The Price is Right I will write to CBS too .. but I don't think they would be that stupid, I mean she had 2 talk shows now and can't handle those, it would only bring the ratings down.

Well, then you will be glad to know that Rosie is leaving The View! i don't think she could ever handle a show like TPIR. You're right about her talk shows...they didn't pan out, she could never do a classy game show. i can't imagine CBS wanting her, bu i figured i would give them my input just in case!

I haven't heard this rumor and I don't believe it at all. Rosie is no match at all for succeeding Bob Barker. The show wouldn't stand a chance of survival with her as the host. CBS wouldn't dare!

I've heard that she wants to do it, but I haven't heard that cbs wants her to. I would think that with all the controversy surrounding her that she would be a bad choice. I don't totally hate rosie, I think she's entitled to her opinions (no matter how crazy some may be) but i think you are right that she isn't right for the show. i wouldn't say bob was completely full of class though, on the show he was but i remember seeing interviews with some of bobs beauties and the things he did and said to them was not so nice. But on the show he was a guy that everyone loved. I think its going to take one heck of a host to keep that show on the air. I can't imagine anyone that would do it as good as bob.

Regardless of whether Bob was all that nice in interviews or not, he brings a level of class to the show. A level of class that Rosie could never even dream of amounting to. She IS entitled to her opinions, but she is a classless woman. i don't even care about all this controversy with her. SHe just has no class, and it really irritates me that she says things about how celebrities soudn't bash one another when all she did was bash Trump. It's pathetic.
