I adore the taste of cappucino especially when it's sugarless. I don't know how to brew it at home, please share the methodology. ;p

I like coffee enough - the taste and the aroma. I don't particularly fancy cappucino though. To be honest, I can't appreciate how it is different from e.g. a latte. All I know is that I am usually served in a small, small cup. One gulp and it is gone - where's the kick? (I rather take an espresso double shot. :P) I have come across cappucino machines though. If you love it enough, you might want to make an investment in one. It would be a cool investment since you can show it off to anyone who comes. I think it's a few hundreds or thousands dollars (SGD). Never paid closer attention since I didn't intend to get one for myself - not that I would complain if someone give me one for free. Ha!

Latte - More Milk Cappucino - More Bubbles Espresso - No milk, No bubble & comes with Small small cup Wow, that's expensive to own a cappucino maker. Unless I am gonna own a cafe, otherwise, i will just continue visiting the local cafe with $2~$3 per cup. I was thinking they should have a cheaper method.. maybe shaking with some mug or what...

I love about the first 2 (not that big a fan of bubbles lol :P). As for espresso, I have the impression it is always power-packed. I used to have that, and double shot it, and found that it was the only coffee that was able to keep me awake a bit. Normally I can have coffee and fall asleep within 5 min. Espresso allowed me to at least stay awake for most parts of the lessons haha. If it's $200, you can make 100 cups at home. I don't know the price really but I have seen it in department stores in Singapore - e.g. CK Tang and Courts even if you know these places. That might be some bubble tool you can use - in fact I think there is.. but I can't recall at the moment. If I remember or come across in future, will let you know again. ^^

I just bought my husband a cappuccino maker. It has a place underneath or a small pot or a couple of mugs, and a steam nozzle on the side to steam milk. It works great for us, and we absolutely love the results.

cappuccino - try this freshly brewed
1/2 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup hot freshly brewed espresso* In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cocoa. Set aside. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over low heat until it is hot, but not boiling. Transfer the contents of the saucepan to a blender and process at high speed for 1 minute, or until foamy. Pour the espresso into a large coffee cup. Gently pour any of the milk that has not foamed into the espresso and spoon the foamy milk on top. Sprinkle the cocoa mixture on top and serve immediately. Serves 1. This recipe used with permission from CollinsPublishersSanFrancisco. From The Best of Coffee: A Cookbook by Sandra Gluck (1994).

Hello, these is how to do it: 1. Use about 1 & 1/4 cups of water. 2. Fill the jug half full of 1 or 2 % cold milk. 3. 3 scoops of coffeee, tamp firmly, clear the top edge of coffee grounds. 4. Use a measuring cup to catch the coffee, and have a 2nd one close at hand. 5. Draw exactly 3 oz. of coffee then switch cups. Let the overflow go into 2nd cup and that will be discarded. 6. Then quicily start steaming milk keeping the nozel close to the top of the milk! 7. Measure 1 oz. of coffee and spoon foam on top, add 1/2 oz. flavoured syrup if you like and sprinkle as desired. I LOVE cappuccino. Unfortunately, I don't know how to brew one. I think you need an espresso machine to make a cappuccino. I've been eying this small espresso machine at starbucks but I don't know if I'm going to make the right decision by buying it. I always feel that I just want it but I'm going to end up not using it in the end.
