On one of my disscusions I looked at the tags. One said "lazy parents".
Oh well I have three live children with manners and good grades (well the two school age ones).
I have gotten "lazier" with the youngest as far as reading all the latest parenting books and using the newest techniques.
Do you find that you've gotten lax with your children as you have more?

I don't feel that I need to read all the lastest parenting books to learn all the newest techniques after raising two other children. I think that actual hands on experience works just as well. Who knows your child better then you do? No one of course.
As for someone on mylot tagging a discussion "lazy parents" until they walk in your shoes they don't know what they are typing about.

I would agree with you but I would not call it lazy. I think it is just being more comfortable with your second one and not having to read all the latest parenting books. You learn to trust your motherly insticts instead of having to always go to a book.

I wouldn't call that lazy.
You are more relaxed with subsequent children but you are also more experienced.
Not the same thing as lazy at all.

You could read 100 books on parenting and get 100 differnt views. You have already raised two kids why do anything different now. All your baby needs is you and alittle love and food. I was the third child and I have noticed that my parents have fewer pictures of me than my siblings. I dont think your lazier I think you just already know what to do and do it right the first time now.

I think with the first child we over-react and worry over every little thing?
As we have more children we realize that if they are a litle late for a meal, it won't kill them. If they play outside and get a little grass stain or some dirt on them, they'll be fine. If they scrape their knee, a band-aid will fix it. We relax as we have more kids and can enjoy it more, I think.
If that makes us lazy..sign me up. I raised and home-schooled three gown kids and they're great! LOL!
