Which band does it better?

Of Course, The Original Sound better but Trivium did a good job also in doing a rendition of the song.

Hmm I've thought of this many times I'm not sure Triviums does sound better because it was more recently recorded so obviously better quality equipment and so on.. also cos Trivium is like my favourite band of all time. Metallica being 2nd. However, I do like the original obviously because it was the original Not sure I can actually answer this Ive just analysed it basically LOL but I definetly think that Trivium did the best cover on the Remastered album. maybe Machine Head..

Trivium is a great band and their cover of Master of Puppets is one of the best Metallica covers I've heard, but. . . .it can't compare to the one and only Metallica version, especially Hetfield's vocals.

i agree you canit really compare the both of them i have been a metallica fan for years and i was very suprised how well trivium did there own version of the song i do think it sounds better than the original but when you hear metallica live and they play the song there is no comparision Metallicas version sounds better live

Heh, you CAN'T compare them! I don't have a preference, they're both fairly different! Different speeds, different vocal style, different guitar tones and it was even in a different key. They both have awesome little quirks which make both versions great =)

I know that almost all of the posts after this are goin to be for metallica but personaly i prefer triviums version. I just think that triviums sounds better plus i dont like the hetfield sings it.

of course i will choose the original which is Metallica..they have always given great emphasis on all their songs
