I am a great fan of horror stories, the scarier and gorier the better! I just love relaxing at night on the sofa with a good scary film, especially with the lights out!Do you like a good horror film, what is your favourite and why?Are you a Freddy or a Jason fan, do you like lots of blood or lots of frights? Do you like a clean ending? One of my favourite films is Hostel and I really hope they are planning to do a sequel. I also love Friday 13th with Jason, slasher movies are great!I have just watched Children of the Corn II it was ok, but wasn't that scary. So what is the greatest horror of all and why would you recommend it?

The Grudge - Japanese horror The Grudge
I love a good horror and the other week I saw 28 Days Later, that really freaked me out as the zombies ran so fast!! I see they have just made 28 Weeks Later, which they are saying is even bloodier, I can't wait!! The Saw trilogy is very good and the Japanese version of The Grudge and Grudge 2 are the scariest films I have seen so far. There are so many shock scenes, its really creepy. I often go onto the Zone Horror channel on Sky and even though most of the films are naff, there have been a few that are good. They often show Hellraiser 1, 2 which I love. I bought Thesis, a Spanish horror about the making of snuff movies, thats a good horror. I could go on forever!!

I completely forgot about Saw, can you believe that I still HAVEN'T seen Saw 3, hope it's out soon on Sky! Hellraiser was definitely brilliant! I wasn't keen on the Grudge to be honest and found it hard to follow. Resident Evil was another good film, they're all coming back to me now. It was actually Michael Myers not Freddie who I liked d'oh!

Hi there, I love horror films too and as there was nothing on the telly this evening, hubby & I watched "Wolf Creek" (an Aussie Film). This film is horrendous and I think it's loosely based on some backpacker murders. Lots of shootings, blood and brains and a crucifixion. This is really scary stuff and to think that there are actually Vietnam Vets hiding around Australia and getting up to god knows what is really creepy. Scared the pants off me! LOL

Thanks for that I will definitely look out for that one, I saw The Hills Have Eyes the original and the new version and it was so tame and boring! Right off to make a list of new horrors to watch out for. Thanks again.

I am a HUGE horror fan .. books, movies, supernatural stuff all fascinate me .. My preference is for supernatural horror then alien horror .. one of the finest horror movies was The Exorcist ... somewhat tame these days but in 1973 it was a real shocker .. "Carrie" is very good as is "The Shining", I 'enjoyed' Aliens .. The Omen, Candyman, Event Horizon, Pitch Black, The Others, Suspiria, Hellraiser .. all worth watching ..

If you are scared of clowns, you obviously didn't see Stephen's Kings IT! I found it boring. I am not a freddy fan. I forgot to mention Michael Myers too!

Well Wolfie, I myself do enjoy a good horror movie from time to time. Personally I like more of a spooky movie rather than constant gore. Don't get me wrong, there are some good slasher movies out there. Believe it or not, I'd have to say that the original Halloween movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis was always one of my favorites.

You'll be happy to hear Hostel 2 should be out in the summer! you can see clips on youtube..:) I love horror films too, and i agree, the scarier the better. I don't like endings that leave you going huh? I like the endings to be tied up. I don't know what my fav horror film is, but I like the Saw series and Hostel.

I love movies that are scary but for me it doesn't have to be gory to be scary. Sometimes the ones that are the scariest do not show any blood at all. "The Changeling" scares me every time I see it. It's an older movie that deals with ghosts. "Poltergiest" and is sequals were also very good. I liked the first "Friday the 13th" when it was the mother doing the killing. I hated the ending though when they had Jason come out of the lake. It was much better without that. I never watched the rest because it just didn't interest me. "Halloween" series and "Nightmare on Elmstreet" series were also very good although not all of them. I loved "Halloween H20" for example but some of the others just went too far.

if it scares me or even freaks me out I consider it good... gory factor not as big a deal as the story line... but the acting must be good as well

well i am not your type. i hate horror movies. i like thrillers, but horror movies are very bloody and gross. the violent scenes keep flashing in your mind, and since i prefer having a clean memory id rather not watch horror movies. but i love reading horror novels , because then i have the power of my own imagination which is not very spookish.

I love to watch scary movies. The movie that scared the most was The Ring the 1st one I cannot watch that movie by myself. I do not believe they should have made a Ring Two that was stupid. I was so scared of the ring 1 I still cannot watch that movie by myself.

I have seen a lot of horror movies. usually i create a scary atmosphere in my room by turning off the lights, close all the doors while watching the movie. it gives a correct feel of the movie.

I can tell you that i am big fan of strange realistic horror films. I do not like so much the movies that have the same pattren that we allready know. But the movies that show a situation that can be a real situation, where everything can go wrong. I know that i liked the 'entity' the first 'poltergist', 'the witch', ' the bell ring'. But i do find it hard to find good horror movies. Would love you to recommand more movies.
