Sri lanka had a fine run in this world cup except in the final against the aussies who were simply too good for all sides in the tournament. Skipper mahela led from the front with bat, along with jaysuriya, sangakarra, and murali, vass and malinga. They all did well in the world cup posting comfotable victories against other teams except aussies who are in diff. league altogether.

Sri Lanka performance in this world cup is very good.but they want to do more good performance for beat Australian's In this world cup final sri lankan bollars not doing good performance. Sri Lanka want to be prefect from all sides to win world cup

Srilanka did very well in the finals. They were bit unlucky as rain started and and it changed the condition of pitch and bowl started gettting low there was no bounce. They were constantly seeing they are just little bit behind the ducl worth lewis law.That prompted them to go after the bowling and evenatually loose wicket. I am not taking any thing away from Aussie ..they have shown throughout this tournament why they are best and they deserve to win this world cup.They have put performed all the teams including srilanka.

I thought they have performed really well. The have one of the best bowling lineups around with genuine wicket taking ability and also the ability to keep things tight. There top 5 batting lineup is strong but I do not rate the rest of the batsman. I feel the batting relies a lot on Jayasuriya. They do lack another batsman who can really take an attack apart. If they had someone coming in a 6 or 7 who could do that then they would be the complete side. Overall thought they were deserving finalists.

Right planning and selection. They prefer Silva over experienced attapattu and he saves and wins games for them. Though attapattu is a good player but not in his prime anymore. Three cheer!! for Sri Lanka cricket team.

Unfortunate... they had a chance and yet... so far..

I cannot fault Sri Lanka's performance in the World Cup. No one expected them to reach the final. So i think they are happy that they did because alot of people were saying that they were lucky to get to the final in 1996. The performance has been good. It is a shame that they could not go one step further and win the trophy.

Sri lankans have indeed tried their best but they had wrong team ahead !!!!!!
