Everybody has each own principle to follow in life, that's our choice.. But if ever you are in a situation where you would go to jail for the principle which you follow to be is true and righteous, what would you do? would you lie instead so that you will not go to jail or still stand by your principles?

Life is tough and this situation depicts a scenario where you are being put to test for something you preach or proclaim.
According to me, whatever course of life I follow, whatever are my principles or beliefe, they must not come into the path of my family.
If I stand for something, I stand for it whole heartedly. I do not chnage my stance, but intelligence syas that you must mellow down, with situations. Not everytime the other party will be strong, so you must not try to put yourself and your family into a problem. But yes you must follow a path which is in the middle of both.
I believe in not harming anyone, something like "LIVE AND LET LIVE". I am a hardcore vegetarian and believe in snactity of life. But I do not go to a butcher shop, or rally against it. I do what my normal course of life allows me to do. I make peopl;e aware of what is happening and what should be done to improve upon it. I believe in brains, I am not a coward, but I do not invite problems to my doorstep.

The jail is the last place I want to be in. So, if it ever comes to that I'd rather not go to jail and would change my principle no problem.

firstly nice thread, i really appreciate.
i am a very simple person with simple values and principles. this means, i am quite aware of the facts, the dos and donots and i know what is right and what is not. i know the good and bad kinda and would not do that ever. i guess, this simple values would not take me to jail and if it does I would be proud to go.
thank you.

If it involves standing up for my friend, or for the environment or for human and animal rights then GO! I shall stay in jail. For any righteous reason I will stay in prison for it, for I know God is justifiable and therefore He will help me fight the cause. :D
