I believe the role of the father should definitely include supporting the wife in the child rearing, being open-minded and of course helping with chores. It really does relieve alot of stress on the mother who can be very easily weighed down with shouldering the caretaking. There are some men who do all of this and some who might not. It really takes a load off when there is cooperation of both parents.

The father's role in families is an important one, and contributes both to the growth and development of the father and his children. Fathers have the opportunity to rethink their own father-child relationship, put that into a mature perspective, and parent their own children in a way that contributes positively to the children's growth and development.
Father's role is an important one that has a profund influence on the social, emotional, and intellectual development of the children.

Father is an anemy, if he does not teach his children, how to behave in the society. He has to paly a major role in building his children character.

i think father plays a very important role in a child's unbringing especially when the child is a boy. a father can give the child what a mother can't give.

A father is supportive, a provider, good advice from a mans point of view, a father is suppose to teach the child values, and a father should be there for a child not just financially but physically (like playing catch, taking kids to the movies, doing activites with kids)
