I am a morning person, unsure if I got this way due to the years of working in a law office that I had to arrive to work very early to try and get a jump start on the snakes, oh I mean attorneys or if it was due to my Mother's upbringing wherein she would never let me sleep past 7:00 am or if it is due to having children and getting up very early (before they would get up) so that I could have some peace and quiet and things done before they would get it, no matter what it is, after the children and left home and I no longer have the law office job to go to I still get up early (before the sun rises) to enjoy each and every day.

I've done an "about-turn" too. When I was in my 20s and 30s, I was a night person. Especially in my 20s because I was working night clubs as a musician and it was not unknown for me to be coming home with the milkman.
Now I am definitely a morning person. Each night I first wake up at around 3am. I tend to drift back to sleep though until 5 or 6 when I will then get up and sit in zazen (Zen meditation) for around an hour. I love this time of day and I think I am at my best. I was at one time concerned with the little time I actually spend sleeping, but then I just let go of the belief that I need 8 hours sleep. I'm fine on 6 hours and that's when I feel I am over-sleeping.. :-)

I used to be all nights all the time!!But now that i have a baby, she gotta sleep at night so that is when i gotta sleep to! I dont mind, cause really its no different, just a lot more stuff is open when your awake when you sleep at night, AND YOU CAN SEE THE SUN!! lol. that surely is a bonus! It's just too bad my hubby works straight midnights and we never sleep at the same time anymore. But i guess you sacrifice some stuff when you become a parent, and really its ALL worth it :)

Hi, I've always been a morning person, I love the early mornings, however now since I've been suffering from insomnia I've become a 24 hours a day person lol, cause I never know when I'm going to be asleep. I do prefer really early mornings though, before everyone is up and about and everything is quiet.

I was always a morning person in the sense that I feel more energetic in the morning. I know people though that can not do anything right before dusk! and I don't just mean partying and stuff, I mean they study better, they work better, they think better in the night!

I have always been a night person. Ever since I was a babe...according to my mom. She wasn't very fond of that. ha ha
But as I got older, it was something that I learned to deal with by just staying in bed quietly. LOL
But now that I am older, I am the one that stays up while everyone is asleep. But I don't have a parent to tell me to go to bed. Although, my partner gets annoyed with me. ha ha
And even though I am a night person...I have never been one to go out and party.
I would rather stay at home and spend time I enjoy doing like myLot, arts, or with my kids.

While I'm far from "partying" anymore late into the evening, I've always been a night person. I just seem to function better at night, even since I was a child. My mom actually put me in "afternoon" kindergarden because I was such a non-morning person! LOL Of course, now kids today don't have that opportunity as they go a full day.

I have always been something of a party animal, out late at weekends, dancing until dawn at my local goth rock club and generally being a bit of a wild child. I know that at my age I really shouldn't and I also find myself paying the price sometimes, but I still feel that I would rather be out and partying rather than tucked up in bed at 9pm with a cup of cocoa

I have always been a night person. When I was younger and applied for jobs I would always look for night positions, I just can't seem to get up early and function in the mornings. I don't know why. Right now it is 4:12 AM and this is the time I like to be up. Do you think it has anything to do with the time I was born? My birth certificate says I was born at 1:07 AM. I wonder, hmmmmmmm. If you know please advise. Thanks.

I am more of a day person. I have more energy during the day to do stuff and am usually in bed by 9.30-10pm. As I've gotten older I too find myself less inclined to party and dance the night away - gone are those days! The only time when I do stay awake at night is because I've drunken too much coffee, talking to my hubby who is currently overseas via msn messenger or gmail chat (time difference) and or I've taken a nap during the day.

i like the nighttime more i find i do more things and i like the atmosphere more at night during the day a lot of day working people are around night working people do different kinds of jobs and i like nightlife, entertainment more than days still early morning is 1 of my favorite times aswell as its quite quiet and life stops in a way as nighttimers break and the daytimers havent got up yet

I cant distinguish if iam a morning person or night person coz when i need to have things done in the morning, my energy level is high and so as when it comes to night time...i usually don't like to sleep early...but when iam puffed all day, i would hate to wake up early...I would say both coz iam flexible.

I am a day person, as I stay indoors mostly, sitting in front of my computer, but I find that in the evening it is nice too, as one reaches people one is not able to access during the day, mainly because of different time zones. The night time is also good for thinking things over, while the day is better for action and carrying things out. I used to be social and go out a lot before, but as I got older and moved countries, I have found that my enjoyments have changed!

I consider my self a night person. If I didn't have to wake up early to take my son to school, I would stay asleep until about 9:30 am. and go to sleep until 12:00 midnight. I don't go to parties but I like to be in the computer late nights.

Uh,,nope..I've always been a night owl, and do a lot of my work projects I do at home in the late night or wee small hours of the morning...I find it more peaceful and relaxing,...less chance of the phone ringing and interrupting my train of thought....of course I do have my answering machine on 24/7 -- I sleep most of the early morning hours...though I don't get up as late as I used to as I can get by with just four to six hours sleep now. Besides with all I need to do all the time (especially now)--sleep just wastes time I think that I could be doing things

Yes, so am I. I am always regard myself as a day person, but untill the last year, I found myself is also feel comfortable and hign at midnight or even early morning! I stay in bars, some parties, watch DVD, or play PC games very late everyday, I'm OK with it!
