Perhaps just because it is a made up story written to frighten people into behaving and conforming rather than the truth?

maybe..there are a lot of contradictions in the bible..i`ve asked something to my teacher and he told me! BElive and don`t search ! that`s the religion???

People like that are what confirm to me that religion really is a load of rubbish. If people who believe in it can't even justify their religion to us, then what hope is there. It obviously isn't real.
