Every parent should have this

What a GREAT resource! My son is 18 now, but when he was a toddler I filled out a card that the local police were providing. It included name, address, etc., and a section for index finger and thumb prints that you did yourself (I actually used magic marker), and a section to note any identifying characteristics. I listed a large mole he had on his neck. We were at a festival and he was there one second, gone the next. Of course I totally panicked, found a security guard and pulled out the card. Incredibly, he had just noticed my son in a cotton candy line, because of the mole... and the fact that my son had a little "tail" in his hair that made the mole noticeable. I had him back in 5 minutes. No one had taken him, he just wanted cotton candy, and I don't even think he knew I wasn't there. But just think... whew! Thanks for sharing that, and I will send it along to my sisters for their grandkids.

It was very nice of you to share this with everyone. It was very considerate of you. Since my girlfriends children came in to her life she has always kept recent information of the children. She use to go to a site called littleangels.com to have an id card made for each child on a yearly basis.

You know what I thought that I was crazy for getting those, but I did and it made my life a whole lot better. Now when they go out I don't have to be afraid that they can't be identified if something happens while we are out somewhere. I am glad that I got them. Not only do I have them for my kids, but I have them for the kids at my daycare as well.
