I am so sorry you are going through this pain. If you need to talk to anyone about this I have a website it doesn't cost you anything, but it might help you to have some email counselling to get over this. I am a student counsellor and all you need to do is email me at the address on the site. It is up to you but, it might help you to talk things through. Losing a pet isn't easy and it is a grieving process you have to go through just like if you lost a member of your family. Your dog was a member of your family there are many people who do not understand this.

Awwww...I am so sorry for your little loss.
I have had bassets for over 41 years anmd most have lived to 12 or more. My beautiful Benny passed away last November just 3 days short of turning 15. It IS so hard.
Do let yourself grieve. They deserve to be grieved.
When you feel able..there are other bassets that need love? Online, look under basset hound rescue..and in your state nearby there will most likely be one. They are not expensive there..need a loving home and are great, saggy little pets!
So sad to lose your friend? You will never replace your puppy. But it would want you to move forward. You loved that dog..another needs you now. (They snuggle great. It helps ot move forward..even though you can't forget the love from the one you just lost.-It may help you heal?)

HUGS. Just cry if you feel like crying. It is ok to be sad. I think she is in a better hands now. :)
