I am curious because I feel like I am constantly sick. So, How old are you? How often are you sick? What do you do/take do stay healthy? Are you on daily medications for long term health issues? If so, what medications?
I am 23.. And, I have a huge health history already. I have pretty bad Scoliosis considered severe per my doctors.. I see a chiropractor regularly. They are about to start me on a muscle relaxant for my back problems... I have asthma that I take Albuterol,Advair, Singulair and when sick steroids for. I also have really bad female issues and tend to be in pain a lot and take pain meds for. I was on a BC for this but that was causing more issues..
I also have a history of chronic pain and ovarian cysts.. I think thats it :) It gets annoying as I am truthfull always sick . with a kidney infection or bronchitis and pneumonia three times in the past 6 months?? AHH!!!
:) So, I am not "complaining" I am just trying to learn what can I do to stay healthy...

I do not think medicine is good for you,all of the pills have the side effect. You should do a lot of spots, that is good for every one and every illness.I always run,i think that is most useful sports,it make me health.I advise to run every day,it is truly useful, trust me.

I agree that all medications cause side effects. I also take a lot of herbs. I however can not just not take some of my medicines as they are for my asthma. And, without them I have even more attacks and problems breathing. I wish I could do without them but unfortunately not. Thanks for your input.

I'm only 20, but i feel like om 40! im a little overwight, i get constant ear infections even though i clean them out every day! when i get up in the morning my joints are all popping like a string of black cats!
I do regularly visit my chiropractor, who is also my cousin lol, so my back doesnt hurt from my job. I also used to have bad scoliosis, but it was fixed after 3 years of chiropractor viisits 2 times a week.
i think mainly i need to lose weight. I weight 245 but i am only 5'10" i should be around 190. So recently i signed up for a membership at Genisis Health Club here in Wichita, KS. It's been going ok, first month has gone by, and ive lost about 10 lbs. It will probibly help if i quit drinking soda. Thats my new goal starting this weekend.

I won't claim to be a perfectly healthy person, but I am not much troubled with health issues constantly. Things can change you know. You may grow up to be a perfectly healthy person. You are just 23 and there is still a lot of time to take care of your health. I don't do anything specific to keep myself healthy. But I try to follow a healthy diet and lifestyle. I eat a lot of fruits, drink sufficient water, and walk for an hour every day. Each person will have to find out what lifestyle suits her/him the most.

Have you ever thought of going to visit alternative therapists. I am not saying there bad thing sabout modern medicine but they can be known to cause more harm than good somtimes.
I once went to see a chinese doctor and he was fantastic. they use natural medicine ans stuff and he seemed to know more about what was going on.
You may benefit from going to seem other alternatives as well. Let's put it this way, they can't make you any worse than what you are already. there are osme who channel your energies and what have you.
Reiki is an amazing thing that you should look into. I had it done and it literally changed me.
When I was young I was very sick. Fainting episodes and seizures for years. Asthma, eczema, punctured lung, pneumonia, woopen cough, mumps, blood disorder, etc. Basically I have had millions of things but now I am fairly healthy.
I do have poor circulation and do have to watch I eat breakfast and stuff so that I don't faint.
I jsut think you should try some alternatives as modern medicine doens't seem to be doing it for you and maybe it just doesn't agree with you.

I am moderately healthy.I am a little older than you.My childhood plus adolescent years were great with almost no complications, parents still surprised when compare with other. But few years ago had terrible time with blood, that it drops.Took some 3 months or so to recover, went to clinic but slept at home. Other than that I'm ok.your story is unbelievable,i mean hard that you've got all this complications at this age.please read more online health sites like i do when i feel/suspect of a health problem.sites like Webmd, netdoctor.uk, and other forums where you may get/read same problems people suffered.I wish you all the best.

About things like these there is not much you can do, although there is stuff you can do to try and prevent it from showing up. Now I won't be talking about alternative therapy. As a med student I must say the entire concept of alternative therapy in a lot of occasions is simply one huge load of crap, there are exceptions but I won't call them that alternative. In example herbs therapy for certain ailments, after all many medicine come from the same herbs used anyways.
But the alternative therapy widely popular here of spreading medicine over water and the water would have a memory to take up the medicinal properties, not my cup of tea I shall say.
Preventing can be a good option with some things though, wouldn't really apply for scoliosis though. But in example with asthma the best is to prevent getting in touch with whatever causes it for you, even things like misty or rainy weather can cause it for some. Kidney infections usually tend to go along with urinary tract infections on people which catch up ailments quite easily, and if that is the case then in example trying to drink as much as possible can help as well.
For pretty much everything though which is chronic there are non medicinal ways (along with your medication of course) to try and reduce problems even further, as just a student still I by far most of them, but you yourself and otherwise your doctor will probably know the answer to what exactly that'll be for the things you have.
